Obviously Dempsey takes him but i think David Haye gets unfairly taken the rip out of tbh? Whatever you think of the guys he's beaten, nobody in this era at least has really blitzed Chisora like Haye did and same with Ruiz Haye did a real number on him? Also Monte Barrett got whacked too - didnt Barrett beat and drop Tuaman?
HAYE may have even toppled Valuev If he'd have gone for it a little bit sooner? I think Haye beats Fury aswell and Deontay 50/50 on at the moment but i think all the micky taking with him is a bit short sighted - hes an amazing athlete fast sharp clever with an awesome punch and killer instincts - anyone near his own size is in danger of his punching each second theyre in there i think?

^ If Haye was more active and kept his big mouth shut he would be infinitely more respected. He clearly has ability and a very unique style. Beating Dempsey however is another matter altogether the man was a killer. I don't think Haye would engage enough and may even get tagged and taken out trying to retreat backwards. Dempsey wide or by KO at some point.

For all he gets dissed and probably rightly so,Haye has some real assets, namely his power and his hand speed, I don't think he's one to be underestimated.
Dempsey though was a genuine killer who had speed of foot (unlike Haye) and underrated boxing skills to go with his power.
At the end of the day though it would also come down to a state of mind. One man would go through a brick wall to win at all costs, while the other when he got his big chance, wasn't prepared to put it all on the line.
There's only one winner here and it's not Haye.

 Wills, Langford, Greb, Kid Norfolk would beg to differ. He won his title against a farmer and ran from the biggest fight, preferring to fool around in the media.

    Haye's opponents>Dempsey's opponents
    Haye's skills>Dempsey's skills
    Haye's power>Dempsey's power

janitor et al have never watched a haye fight or looked at his record apparently.

would modern cw not count as hw fights in dempseys era?

did haye not actually fight the other best hw of his era?

perfectly fair to pick dempsey but no one has presented an even borderline sensible argument for him yet.

wow, i'm not sure if you're being deliberately dishonest or are blinded by hate.

Cw comes within the old hw weights, that can't be argued.
Dempsey fought lots of sub 200lb opponents, what he may have been prepared to do and his actual career are 2 completely different things.

the other best hw of dempseys era was wills imo, they never fought. if you feel willard was better than wills then ok, but i will never agree with that.

i don't see how dempseys achievments are any more tangible than haye's. hw champ is better than cw champ and hw beltholder, but pretending those aren't real is aside of reality.

how does dempsey beat haye? like i said its a fair pick, i'm not really picking haye, but no one has been able to explain why it's so easy for dempsey to win.

what technical advantage does dempsey have? what physical advantage does he have? what fighter comparable to haye did dempsey ever beat?
