If that is true and it is only personal conjecture, it adds up to three black men.How do you account for the 5000 that queued to listen to the rounds by round bulletins at the Pekin theatre ? Or the thousands of black people that took part in the two day victory parade in Chicago?
Or the hundreds that flocked to Johnson's Mothers house in Texas demanding she give a speech?
Thousands of black people mobbed Grand Central Station waiting to greet Johnson's train and follow him through NY.

. As for Jeannette and Langford being accepted neither of them were the HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION as Jack

That part of the narrative is totally lost and even some of the examples you give forth, quoting meaningless statistics such as "4 negros slain by whites" totally ignores that in several of the examples you gave an African American became insulting or aggressive resulting in a fight which escalated and got him killed. See what I mean by "we own our own actions" ? Does any of this sound familiar? Do want to pretend that historically african americans in the unites states have always had a great reason to raise up cause ridiculous amounts of damage and destruction (which usually results in more harm to them than anyone else)? Because Ive watched a situation over in Missouri over the last few months that was entirely the result of the actions of ignorant moron who thought he could do whatever he wanted and in the end it got him killed and resulted racially motivated rioting that had no basis and resulted in a lot more damage and harm to the black community than the so called empowerment that you think such actions contribute to.

 

Ive always been clear on my stance on Johnson. I think he was a great fighter and would have been a tough guy for anyone to beat. I think he was clearly head and shoulders above any other HW, or fighter for that matter in the world during his reign, Langford, Jeanette, McVey, and Gunboat Smith included. I give all the credit in the world as a fighter. More than most probably.

BUT, I think he was a pretty bad dude. I think he was selfish, egotistical, anti-social to the point of being possibly a sociopath, and that opinion of him has nothing to do with him being black. The movement to have him pardoned is such a political football, and so misguided its almost beyond belief and some of what is commonly said about him in relation to that pardon is simply not factual i.e. he was the first person to be prosecuted by the Mann Act (he wasnt), The Mann Act was written specifically to persecute him (it wasnt), he was the only person the Mann Act was ever used against (he wasnt). The guy was guilty of violating that law in every way shape and form it was intended to be used and if you are going to pardon him then why not pardon ALL of the people who were prosecuted under it (which is a very long list) many of whom literally did not do anything to violate it and were simply being persecuted by puritanical progressives. Its hypocrital and waste of tax payers money and elected officials time.

1. Are you claiming Johnson or anybody either related/close to him never was made to feel subhuman?

2. Are you also claiming that if he was exposed to such things that it wouldn't/didn't affect him as well as his actions?

I'm curious what exactly is a supposition here since virtually every psychologist agree that being exposed to such things would really impact your views and behavior.

If you print a source that is incorrect or has been skewed or otherwise edite to make the racial violence in the aftermath of Johnson-Jeffries look one sided dont blame me or get mad for calling you out on it. If you were simply reprinting it I have no problem with that but the message is still wrong and thats what we are arguing here. Whether Unforgiveable Blackness printed is neither here nor there and in fact Id say thats a pretty good argument for considering Burns and Ward are liberal apologists with a healthy dose of white guilt and a willingness to take part in revisionism when it suits their agenda.

You can cry away all you want but you cant ignore the numerous citations I provided and you cant explain them away as meaningless or spin the violence of July 4, 1910 as one sided. Its a wonderful narrative and a convenient excuse to say that all or the vast majority of violence on that date was perpetrated by whites against blacks but thats not exactly true is it? You might as well try to spin the michael brown shooting or trayvon martin shooting racially motivated killings of blacks by whites (nevermind that George Zimmerman wasnt white, but hey, it fits your narrative well doesnt it?) and that the resulting riots were either started by whites or instigated by a white world trying to keep the poor black teens down and they just inevitably boiled over. Im claiming that Johnson's experience (which was far better than the average jim crow african american taken as a whole) was no excuse for him to act like he alone was above the law. Instead of showing that black men deserved to be treated like human beings he gave fuel to the fire of people who claimed (incorrectly) that black people are animals and will behave as such if you just give them enough freedom to prove it.

Again, your pseudo psychological breakdown of Johnson is weak considering the number of black men who experienced as bad or worse what Johnson experienced who didnt resort to acting like a complete ass every chance they got and werent called such by just about everyone who knew them.
