He is a skilfull fighter, but I like many just feel that he needs to be at light-welter - hopefully this move to Matchroom can kick start his career.

And let's not forget against Bundu, he may have been on the wrong end of the decision but it was a good fight and he showed some *******s in there as well.

Bundu rematch is the only logical fight and a hometown decision.

To be successful, the first thing they need to do is get Gavin down to 140

What's this? Another proPunter post about promoters?! Who'd have thought it.

Gavin is a bit unfortunate in that he has virtually no charisma, regardless of anything inside the ring. This would always have limited him, even if he had a punch and was fighting at the correct weight with the '0' intact. I for one am not sure he'd be a big draw even in his home town.

Obviously promised a shot at Brook couldn't see him getting a shot otherwise.

Gavin was handily beaten by Bundu for me. He will have a few fights lose to Brook and then Eddie will be more or less done with him.

i'm not convinced about the weight thing, a fighter should campaign wherever he feels most comfortable, but agree with the rest of your post.

    has the move been confirmed?

****** has claimed he released him, which makes you wonder why he was talking on an ifl interview saying he is looking to get a world title shot a month or so back

    Bad move, IMO.

No doubt Wrren paid him top dollar. He also got him home advantage for the Bundu fight, and a few belts inbetween. How will Eddie top that?

Trust me, by the end of this year Gavin will be done.

Time is not on his side, he has zero desire to get to 140, he doesn't KO people and has a boring style. No doubt his pay has dipped too.
