Well then, there is no question that Wepner would have easily knocked out both Klitschkos on the same night, proceeding to beat Povetkin on points the next morning. Too bad he was so unlucky to fight in a wrong era.
Wlad vs Pulev was the best HW fight that I have seen in a long time and 100 times better than Wilder ve Stiverne
Yes I am. And a long term contract is irrelevant. A German based undisputed Heavyweight Champion going on a decade now. Unique situation that can't be compared to other past Champions. Some fights are going to be missed. HBO covered every title fight until Chageav, so that's 3 solid years. Since than he's still appeared on HBO at least once a year. Your comment of them being dropped from HBO and only two fights being shown was flat out wrong. WRONG! That's that.
fury vs chisora was a real stinker , wlad vs povetkin was better, than that and Wlad vs Pulev was better than anything Tyson Fury was ever involved in.
I am aware of the reasoning behind that. But contenders won't suddenly start fighting each other if there are multiple routes to trinkets, "super" champions, interim champions and whatnot. The argument is just weak, especially considering the fighters TS used in his example.
Wlad is boring, but hes a great champion. Without him the division may be more exciting but drops off due to the loss of his talent.
Haye?? For the life of me, I can't figure out how this guy has even a single fan left, stinking out a HW title fight and pulling out of title fights. Anyway, it will be sad when Wlad retires because there isn't anyone that will hold the HW division to the same talent standard.
In a twisted way of reasoning, it's true. If you remove the dominant champion, the fighters remaining are more balnaced and the results more impredictable.
3 fights is multi. And they don't give out 'deals' like they used to because Glass Jaw Roy Jones took advantage of the system and fought a bunch of bums instead of the fights HBO wanted to see. I think Wlad, Canelo, and Pacquiao are the only fighters with 3 fight deals.
Wlad fills up stadiums in Germany and each fight gets 10 million viewers, he's leaving money on the table to fight Jennings on HBO in US and people still find something to complain about
