I got it, Wlad clinches a lot. But to say someone that knocks out basically everyone he's fought lately is boring makes we wonder.

eh...I feel like I've made this point a couple of times but:

A knockout is about 5% of a fight (typically the last couple of seconds with Wlad since he's so powerful.)

The other 80% he's clinching, and the remaining 10% he's landing jabs and straight rights and the final 5% he's initiating a clinch by tying up his woefully overmatched opponent (certainly not his fault he's just too good for the rest right now.)

Based on my super in-depth and thoroughly researched mathematical breakdown (DO NOT DO YOUR OWN INVESTIGATING!) only about 20% of Wlads fights are 'exciting'.

But honestly, you could say that about a lot of HWs. They're bigger, slower, generally throw fewer punches, generally move less. It's not like Wlad is the only boring big man out there.

Getting rid of Wlad won't help the HW division but it will mean less 'certainty' for who will be the top man at any given time. I guess that's a kind of excitement.

I really don't get the Klitschko hate in America. Both brothers have shown superb skills with their different styles, and both can knock muthafukkers out with one shot. If the issue with Wlad being THE HW Champ is him not being American, just wait a little bit until he marries Hayden Pantierre. He will at that point be an American citizen through virtue of marriage, and he will represent us well.

So you think the HW can stand in the middle and exchange shots ? this isnt some lightweight figthers here you know... if they get hit flush good chance bad things can happen right away , you should not see alot of "exciting fights" in the HW because when someone connects good he ends it most of the time while in the light weights they can exchange and what not because their power is not fight ending.
i like the tension HW brings and the "one punch will end the fight" excitment that follows the fight , sorry but for each is own.
just watch different weight class for your cup of tea.,

    Agreed.

If anything, eliminating alternate routes to a belt makes the division more competitive because there is no easy option or weak link to target for a belt. The best contenders have to fight each other to become legit #1 contenders.

The sooner Wlad gets the WBC, the better. Then we'll essentially be back in the one division, one champ days.

I hate to say it but I totally agree with all of your points. Well done. That's why you should watch all of Wlad's fights in the form of a yout**e highlight video. :yep

Where did I say that in my post?

I agree with you. HW fights are the way they are because of the power they bring. It's also why (at least IMO) they tend to be less exciting.

And for what it's worth, I tend to watch far fewer heavyweight fights than any other division, but that's the cool thing about the sport, you can generally find something for everyone.

Yeah what we need is the good ole days of:

    IBF champ Chris Byrd
    WBA champ John Ruiz
    WBC champ Hasim Rahman
    WBO champ Lamon Brewster

and ALL of them promoted by Don King but never fighting each other. Man, that was so exciting I wish we could go back to those awesome times in the Heavyweight Division :rofl:patsch

agreed that was pretty bleak but...

how is it different from the K bros not ever fighting each other yet sharing bits of the title concurrently. they did it far more than the above.

and being unable to win back their titles against retirees, waiting for others to fight for them.
