Lol, I like Larry. I personally have him around 6-7 in my top 10 HW rankings. But he's a bitter delusional guy. He earned the right to say whatever he wants though.

He probably gets sick of hearing a-holes like Kellerman spew krap like "he has a Larry Holme's jab" when referring to Wlad's jab.

Wlad's jab is a good jab, but it's not on the level of Holmes.

Just playing devil's advocate, but he kind of has a point about Wlad currently.

A few years ago, saying Wlad had no jab would've been ridiculous.

Lately, however, as his abilities start fading, he does rely more on leaving the left arm out inert like a push-pole (which isn't in a strict sense "throwing a jab") - which he always used to do to an extent, but he definitely snapped it out properly a lot more when he was a bit younger.

He does a lot more of that single-arm Heisman push, as well as clinching, than he does conventional jabbing these days.

    That much is true.

So "Wlad has no jab" is a silly statement - but "Wlad no longer consistently uses the great jab he once had...and maybe can't anymore" - that holds water.

Waiting for the group that thinks just because hes a great fighter that hes right. I mean... how can I disagree with him, hes Larry Holmes.

Its a great example of why I dont really put too much stock in fighters ****ysis. Theres many examples of good fighters not being a good judge of other fighters or matchups.

Larry Holmes is a troll. Just remmember his Rocky comment.

In this case it is understandable as he tries to help King promote Wilder Stiverne fight.

Are he and King on good terms now? If so, that is complete turn around from the things he said about King in his book.

Larry has always been jealous, including of fighters of his own era that nobody (including the fighters themselves) ever suggested were near as great as Larry himself.

Wlad would beat down and stop Larry Holmes more brutally than Mike Tyson did, and he knows it Larry's an Anti-Eastern European Troll

Prime Wlad would do that to '88 Holmes, yes. Same as prime Holmes would beat down and brutally stop pre-Emanuel Wlad.

2015 Wlad vs. 1988 Holmes, though?

    Or prime vs. prime?

    Those are competitive.

Nobody's beating down anybody. Stopping maybe, but not easily.

That's hardly fair. Larry has only been stopped once and it was against a prime Tyson when he coming off a three year retirement. Prime Holmes would be too much for Wlad or prime Tyson for that matter.

Prime Vs Prime would be very interesting, I'd still give the edge to Wlad.....maybe. But yeah Holmes would destroy the Old Wlad.
