    Roy never fought a unification at any weight, was never undisputed at any weight, and all his belts at 175 were stripped from other fighters and handed to him.

    Think about that: The great RJJ never fought a fellow champion at any weight. "Well there weren't any worth fighting!" Oh, really? I'll just leave this here:

    160: McClellan
    168: Benn, Collins, Eubank, Liles
    175: Michalczewski
    200+: Lennox, Byrd, Sanders

    Other Notables: Nunn (RJJ stripped for not fighting him), Rocchigiani (beat Nunn, illegally stripped and gifted back to Roy, Roy cancelled a fight with him), Hopkins II (AFTER Hopkins unified 160, not while he was a green prospect), Toney II (at 175, not 168 which he had to almost die to make), Julian Jackson (Big Roy knew he'd get iced).

    You misunderstood me. There should be no talks of Mayweather vs Golovkin UNLESS Floyd grabs a middleweight title. I never said Floyd would fight him.

    He beat a FNF undercard fighter, and a one legged 39 year old. This does not a Hagler make. He did look good in those fights, but he is still just Miguel Cotto.

    You are reaching with any ATG talk regarding Floyd, or fighting Manny. For the purposes of this thread, it doesnt matter why the Manny fight wont happen so lets all not go there, but we all know it wont happen.

    If Floyd was serious about making history, he would tell Cotto to fight GGG in May, and sign on to fight the winner next Sept. That would be one for the history books, rematching Cotto now is just for the marketing machine.
