Golovkin beating Mayweather will not make him the #1 figher on the planet. Golovkin has every advantage over Floyd. Floyd doesn't even carry his power well into 147.

All Floyd has to do is not take the Cotto fight for the middleweight championship.

If he does, then he's putting himself squarely in a position for other middleweights to target him. Especially GGG.

Beating Ward at 168 would put Golovkin at or near the top of the pfp lists but his fanboys don't talk about that fight. Instead they want him to fight Mayweather who weighs about 150 on fight night. lol

Exactly. If Golovkin beats Ward he's in my top 10 P4P for sure, I like Ward. Maybe even top 5 P4P.

He won't fight a smaller guy for 100 mil, let alone a big puncher like GGG. No amount of $ will force Floyd-GGG fight.

Roberto Duran was smaller than Mayweather, yet he had the stones to tangle with Killers at Middlweight and ATG middleweights, (Marvin Hagler) and not only that, but Duran fought a guy much bigger than GGG, in Barkley, at super-middle, why wouldn't TBE supposedly aspire to such greatness that has been the staple of others and yet expect to be held in the same esteem? Mayweather is becoming irrelevant and if he avoids Pac only fighting GGG would make him relevant again.

Big is nothing if you are not skilled. And Duran, if I'm not mistaken, carried his power up with him to a degree. If I were in Mayweather's shoes and I'm not even hurting guys my size, no way I move up.

No unless he fights and wins against Cotto for the "lineal MW title of fighters who actually never fought at MW", if that happens yes he should fight Golovkin at 160.

If he fights Cotto, then he should fight GGG next fight. If you don't want to take on MWs then don't fight in that weight class

wait...so people were saying Floyd would never fight Canelo..gets schooled and now they're *****ing that it was a fight that should have never been made?
People say Maidana was robbed in the first fight but the immediate rematch was not needed or was a cherry pick?
