That was my observation, Thompson's range and awkwardness made him work harder than usual to land but he adapted. He never had Wlad in trouble and at best edged a few early rounds.

 

Gotta admit that Wlad handled Tony pretty well after some initial problems.

Holmes only got out boxed in swathes of the Williams fight. He wasn't out boxed for the full 15 rounds.
Holmes pulled it out narrowly and Williams was a very decent boxer with an excellent jab.
Even The Truth had a better jab than Wlad.

Holmes had un-natural speed. In the right hand , the jab and the uppercut.
