2 days ago when asked if he thinks it'll happen, he said, "Oh, idk...I really don't know." Now, he's more positive? I wonder what news he received.

He fears he'll lose relevancy. Being in the public eye, being known, it's very important to him. I read an excerpt from one of his assistanct's book about him... he's changed a lot over the years. I feel like he knows he's hated by a lot of people, so being relevant is so important to him. If he loses relevance, what happens? He'll be forgotten, mistreated, uncared for because no one likes him. It's kind of sad.

Exactly. Just like these joyboys and floyd himself saying catchweight fights doesn't count until floyd fought at catchweights and now it counts.

He said, "Sometime he'd give him drinks before he trained, and I would ask him what was in the drinks but he'd never tell me."

I've got actual evidence of why certain fights didn't get made, that runs alongside logical opinions.

But your evidence of a duck, is simply that he didn't fight them.

Just because he didn't fight someone, it doesn't mean it was a duck.

Also, ducking someone and dismissing someone and going with other options, are two entirely different things.

    Who did he duck?

Don't just list me names of guys he didn't fight.

Tell me why how he ducked them.

    Are you for real?

    You corrected me?

You made a complete fool out of yourself.

    I post links without context?

    Ha!

    Yeah, okay.

You've been shown the following links:

Where Hopkins priced himself out of a rematch.

Liles's trainer walked out on him, because he blew a great fight with Roy.

HBO backing him when he said multiple guys had turned down big money offers to fight him.

Kerry Davis explaining how he couldn't negotiate to bring DM to the U.S.

Eubank admitting he wanted no part of a prime Roy.

Jim Thomas recounting the time that Roy flew to Atlanta to challenge Evander.

    And there's more.

In Roy's defense, he took on some challenges after he was shot to pieces (Hopkins II, Calzaghe, Tarver III, Lebedev). I'd also take his resume over Mayweather's. Toney,Bhop, Tarver and even guys on the fringe like Virgil Hill, Griffin, Harding, and Sosa are better than Castillo, DLH, Corrales and fringe guys like Hatton, Maidana, Judah, and Old Man Mosley.

Just how silly can a man be?

Why are you STILL mentioning the likes of Liles and Eubank?

    :patsch

    Why are you embarrassing yourself?

All of this has been countered on the other two threads.

    Eubank:

When Roy had won the IBF at MW, Eubank held the WBO, and was happy fighting his mandatories on SKY/ITV.

During Roy's reign at SMW, Eubank LOST TWICE to Collins and fought at LHW.

During Roy's LHW reign, Eubank lost to Calzaghe and fought at CW.

He said last year that fighting Roy in his peak would have been suicide.

He's also said that he never chased the big U.S. fighters, and was only interested in his mandatories.

Liles: Turned down his biggest payday, which resulted in his manager walking out on him, and calling him foolish.

    Of course.

But just because the fights didn't happen, it doesn't mean that Roy ducked them.

If we use that criteria, then every fighter in every division will have ducked a whole host of guys.
