    I don't agree with that.

He still lands plenty of solid jabs that hurt his opponent so they aren't stiff arms, they're hard punches.

I didn't say he never snaps the jab anymore, just that he used to a lot more. Is that not what you see? A lot of his left arm extensions these days are those slow pushes/inert hold-outs.

During his prime, Larry was two things:

    1. A great fighter
    2. Bitter as hell

He is still one of the two.

    That's what I was thinking.

Wlad will probably pass his mark and he has unified almost all of the belts.

"Wlad never had no jab". I'll take it that Wlad has a jab.

I only agree with Ali for a definite. Marciano and Lewis arguable.

Johnson and Dempsey, no way. Both further down.

Johnson - I forget the # off the top of my head, but he defended the black heavyweight title a ridiculous # of times and held on to the real HW championship for several years. When the founder of The Ring believes he is the #1 HW of All-Time, I have to put him in the top 5.

Dempsey - Many people thought he was the greatest HW of All-Time well into the 60's. He has to be ahead of Holmes.

There's not many boxers in heavyweight history who could claim to have a jab like Holmes though, so it's of no shame.

Same guy who blamed getting his glove caught in the ropes against Tyson instead of just saying Tyson was too much for him. Dude has a huge ego.

Yeah I agree. My top 5:

    1. Ali.
    2. Foreman.
    3. Frazier.
    4. Lewis.
    5. Marciano.

Holmes could maybe be 5, ahead of Marciano but I feel like Marciano beating two ATGs in Ezzard Charles and Archie Moore is better than Holmes best win (Norton?). Although Holmes did beat Mercer at an advanced age which is a great win IMO.

It is all very subjective, but I wouldn't place Holmes in the top 5. I think he loses to all the guys in the top 5 H2H (except maybe Marciano).
