    but when wlad does it (100x better mind you), the same people say "see this is why HW boxing is dead, boring!"

    Andre ward is the biggest clincher in the game, but they call it "masterful boxing". When wlad does it, "boo wlad sucks all he does is grab"

    See the double standards THEY have? Not to mention lennox lewis boxed just like both K brothers and nobody complained, but once wlad and vitali use the same tactics they're crucified for it.

    Actually, lots of US fans still did not like Lewis. It just happens to be if you're American, they will cheer for you. That's why I tell casuals that Wlad will be American soon when he gets married. Then we can all be proud of our dominant American HW Champ! :rofl

    I really don't think that is true at all. Wlad lives in LA. If he was actually born here, US fans would be behind him completely.

    He didn't win the fight by "jab n jogging".

    He won by his opponent throwing the fight, or possibly being poisoned.

    I think most of these "double standards" don't make sense (in general that is) but you make good comparisons, Ward and Wlad to me are quite similar in their approach yet fans of each fighter seems to have a very polar opposite opinion of the other, it's quite strange.

    Why do I always have to risk my account by being the first to come out and actually say it?

    Black guy does it=Skills/athleticism.

    White guy does it=Boring/crude/one dimensional.

    A truly sick combination of bigorty and brainwashing that keeps the above "double standard" alive and well.

    I am a big Wlad fan, have been since pre Sanders... but anyone who doesn't get why his style is critized, really.... are being very naive. There were 2 clinches in the first 10 seconds of the Povetkin fight. Yes, you read that right. 2 clinches in the first 10 seconds. And well over 10 clinches the entire round... meanwhile he threw 3 right hands. And he had a 'stinker' reputation well before the Povetkin fight.


    All Im saying is, as a fan of his, the reasons he is criticized are self evident. To expect a boxing fan to watch the heavyweight champ look to jump on his opponents back as often as he throws a cross, its just not going to sit well with many people, and I think that's fair.

    Wlads style is effective for him, that's fine.... if you are a fan of his, just accept that he fights in a very negative, ugly manner, and move on. Trying to defend the amount of clinching he does just makes you look stupid.

    For the record, people weren't cool with Lewis using spoiler tactics...not in the US anyway. I think that most on this board who pretend Lewis was a destroyer compared to Wlad either are Brits or racists that don't like having a dominant white HW champ.

    Last thing: Wilder is the truth!

    What happened to Wilder's ''POWER''?
    He just jabbed and got out there quick, his chin will be tested once he fights someone who has high punch output with power.

    Unlike Stiverne, his punch out put was low.

    So Klitschko is clincher? BEST HW CHAMP OF ALL TIME !!!
    And dont mention Vitali and Wlad, their style is totally different. Vitali didnt clinch.
    Klitschko have just 1 rly bad match and that is with Povetkin. But again one from 66 is nothing.

    People find Wlad boring to watch because he has the skills, power and experience to crush todays weak crop of pretenders but plays it safe by clinching when unnessasary. Wouldnt matter what race, color, creed,religion or nationality he was. :|
