Ignoring some of the iffy decisions I love Canelo he's always willing to fight and still only 24

Some of these fell through and what not but:
    Ortiz
    Williams
    Trout
    Mayweather
    Lara
    Kirkland
    Angulo

I respect him in the ring.

Did I ever say Clottey would win? I said Clottey would make him look mediocre. Canelo would win by decision but look bad doing it. Also Lara won and that is why Canelo won't give him a rematch. Kikland is hand picked. Long lay off, glass jaw and will stand in front of Canelo. I rather see Trout a rematch than Kirkland but anyone with any type of lateral movement will give Canelo trouble so Oscar will hand pick guy with no movement or are way smaller than Canelo

yes at the moment i would. andrade can have 1 or 2 fights then fight canelo and it will be hyped with 2 (hopefully) proven elite fighters going at it.

I don't particularly like watching Andrade fight just yet. I think you put HIM in with Trout, Lara, or Kirkland and we'll see if he's ready for Alvarez.

Kirkland imo is going to get annihilated because he has no chin, but if he can physically push Alvarez backward and bang away on him for a few rounds it could be entertaining. I just don't think Kirkland can do it for 12, and the minute he backs off Alvarez will throw a combo, one of the shots will find his glass chin, and fight's over.

It's a good entertaining fight, and Alvarez gets a pass because he already took on the top 3 slicksters in the division (Floyd, Trout, Lara). Sometimes you want a kid to have an exciting fight. That's what Angulo was supposed to be but that one was just weird.

How is this a cherry-pick? He beat the hell out of Vera, Angulo, Julio and Tapia when they were all top prospects.

People make fun of his loss, but he has just about the same record as GGG against the same level of opposition (or better). No one has gone the distance with him in 8 years.

But BTW, I haven't seen where the fight was signed yet, have you?

Kirkland is perfectly fine taking into consideration that the Cotto fight fell through. I think Kirkland will be dangerous for the first few rounds and then Canelo will go on to KO him

Alvarez is very good for the sport

Good fight. Kirkland hasn't fought in awhile, though. I hope he comes back focused and hungry.

It's only dangerous in the sense that Kirkland is reckless and will swing for the fences--not because of his skill set.

Probably due to the fact that Canelo found his level (albeit, later than many fans already knew, Mayweather's complete outclassing of him solidified it in his own mind), and doesn't try to pretend he's an ATG, or top of the tree. He's a decent action-fighter, with a big following, and he's choosing an opponent that will give plenty of fireworks. It's a fan-friendly fight. As far as i'm concerned, he's not gonna raise above his 'level', and as long as he dishes up good, exciting fights, I will enjoy watching them.
No-one ever thought Gatti was an ATG or anything, but people loved to watch him fight. Canelo isn't that exciting, but in the current scheme of things he's an entertaining fighter, with a crowd pleasing style, and much the same way i'm hyped about Matthysse v Provdnikov, i'm hyped for Canelo v Kirkland.

I am a Mayweather fan and mayweater would have never chosen to fight Kirkland, so respect to canelo even though I don't think or rate him as a great fighter

Lemme ask you a question: does being a skilled boxer equate to being "not exciting" in your opinion? I'm saying, when you go to the movies, do you get bored if the actor on the screen is daniel day lews or meryl streep instead of stallone or van damme?

as for the rest of your bs post, why does andrade have to prove himself worthy of a canelo fight by beating all the top fighters canelo himself couldn't beat? kirkland didn't do that and he got a canelo fight...andrade is one of the most, skilled guys exciting guys around. you should love him because he knocks guys out....he'd beat the rojo offa canelo.
