Fighters get credit for fighting the best fighters out there and for moving up to fight bigger opponents. Fighters also get credit for their performances in fights, not just the result.

At 135 Duran was a beast --- way too much for Floyd or any lightweight.
At 147 a real good fight but I think the best Duran wins.

This Pac episode amounts to a 5 year "no mas" as far as I'm concerned.

Actually that fact that this happened and he is in it, just tells you how good the guy was. But for that incident and if he had managed to beat Hagler (he was ahead after 12 rounds) he would likely be talked about as being top 3 all time. Maybe even the best ever. You should really watch the guy. Sure the "no mas" incident detracts from his legacy, and it should, but watch him in is prime, cause I'm 52 and I don't recall seeing anyone better. If you want to watch just one fight of Duran's to give you an idea of how good he was, I would suggest the Barkley fight. Even before they start fighting you have to think to yourself this is a mismatch, I hope Duran doesn't get killed.

The difference between Benitez, SRL and Mayweather is power. at the heavier weights Mayweather doesn't really have any, but the other two do. That's a huge difference right there. The don't have hearns like power, but they have a lot more than Mayweather has at either 147 or 154 and they have just as good of boxing skills.

********** wouldn't even entertain the thought of getting in the ring with him!

He'd demand DNA tests to make sure he's not Charles Manson!

No they dont. Mayweathers skillset is more complete than Leonard and Benitez. Leonard and Benitez may hit harder than Floyd but a prime Floyd is more skillful, the defence is better and the body movement is better. Leonard is faster than Floyd but Benitez really? Prim Floyd is far more superior than Benitez.
