    Amir Khan and Manny Pacquiao are set for a May 30 showdown as the pair make alternative plans to clashes with Floyd Mayweather Junior.

    Both had been hoping to meet the American, 37, in Las Vegas on May 2, but with Mayweather dragging his heels the fighters have come up with a Plan B.

    Top Rank promoter Bob Arum confirmed that the late May date had been earmarked for the bout between Khan and Pacquiao as American TV giants HBO have a pay-per-view show scheduled for that night.''

    It will be intersting to see if either fighter adopts a similar glove choice to Mike Alvarado.

    Mayweather likes any advantage he can get he's probably training for whoever he wants to fight and has been for a few weeks give it a couple more weeks and he will let his opponent know

    Yes this is one of Floyd's cheap tactics, but Khan and Pacman know about this, Maidana 1 he only had like 5 weeks for camp.. such a B itch move..

    What was wrong with the glove? They looked like everlast to me, at least what i saw from the green gloves!

    This. He would sign to fights on short notices to his opponents. Pac knows this so he set Jan end as deadline and it would be just enough for his 12weeks of usual training camp not including the needed promotions.

    Floyds ego was never gonna allow cotto v canelo on May 2nd

    1. He didn't want the risk of that fight breaking records

    2. He don't want to give Top Rank a payday

    So no PAC fight boxing fans

    If Floyd is TBE the only fight at 147 is PAC, and the only fight at 160 is Golovkin

    Any other fight is not relevant if you are TBE

    this is one of the best opponents for pac in my opinion. not only that but its also guaranteed to be a ripper of a fight

    khan and pac have good styles to watch. i believe both guys have shakey chins (khans is eons worse). i think someones getting put down or out in this one

    but im going to make a bold move here and say KHAN DECISION (will be putting some money on it to when the odds come out)

    You guys may say khan doesn't deserve a fight with manny pacquio...
    but it's also a business at the same time. Hope pacquio wins. He's taking a very stylistically dangerous fight in Amir khan.
