Its interesting reading some of these pages and noticing how other posters are commenting on Loudon posting what fighters were thinking.
I notice when Loudon gets a bit stuck, he says about posters dont take circumstance into account, which is something I have felt applies to Loudon in many cases.

When you say UK guys. Do you mean Benn and Eubank?
I just dont think the fighters were overly interested as Jones had a fight with Toney and Eubank and Benn had each other as well as many other top fighters in Europe, like Collins, Wharton, previously Watson, Graham, Rocchigiani, so they all had options that were bigger nearer where they were based

Did Jones say he wanted to face Eubank?

The second Toney/Griffin fight was Toney defending his WBU LHW title. I have never known that to be an eliminator for a Jones fight. You cant fault Jones for facing the winner

Right just like the quote from Larry Mercahnt right :lol

    "

In 1999, he announced his decision to come out of retirement in order to fight Jones. Jones is said to have offered in excess of £3 million for the fight. Collins is said to have been suspicious regarding the money that Jones was offering and said to the papers that "for £3 million I would fight Mike Tyson.""

    From Collins

But I know I make **** up right ? Nice try kid !

    Do you have the link?

I recall Collins calling out Jones
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G0Erh4RKbHE

also on the interview with Collins, Eubank, Calzaghe, Jones and Woodhall, Collins said he wanted the Jones fight. I dont recall Jones saying he was offered 3mil

Once again, you're talking about Jones at LHW after Collins retired.

I'm talking about both of them at SMW in '95-'96. The fight was never relevant after that.

    Nice try.
