Damn. If Pac's win over Rios is looking great at this point, ya'll must believe Floyd's win over Canelo is a top 10 win in the history of the sport.

Pac's win over Rios or Algieri has no weight for the same reason as Floyd's win over Ortiz or Guerrero brings nothing to his legacy.

Elites beating class B fighters later in their careers mean nothing more than comeback fights or stay active fights.

I think the only Pac-nuthugging take away that you can get from Rios-Alvarado 3 is that Pac's chin is still intact.
He did hit Pac flush and cleanly a couple of times but Pac wasn't fazed at all so, compared that to his manhandling of Alvarado and you can present your case.

Won't ever be a defining win, but hey, building a deeper resume never hurts. People seem to undervalue resume depth these days in favor of a single top end win.

I'm interested to see how Rios is steered moving forward. I'd like to see him land a shot against someone like JMM, which, after Pacquiao, would easily be his biggest named opponent to date. Or perhaps a title shot against Brook which would only be slightly less satisfying of a matchup.

It would be hard to imagine it looking any better than it does now. It was even better than Mayweather's domination of Marquez.

I would consider myself to be a bit of an insider when it comes to Rios and Alvarado and I was concerned big time about Rios losing this fight. No one in either camp knew how it would go until
    the bell rang.

No, Canelo is still undefeated. He fought at a catchweight and wasn't hydrated so the fight doesn't count.
