Yes, it's been a while since KB has fought, so there isn't much to talk about right now, however let's put some things in perspective. KB outboxed Shawn Porter who annihilated Paulie Malignaggi and Devon Alexander. Not long ago people were predicting SP to dethrone Mayweather. Amir Kahn has only had 2 fights at welterweight and recently dispatched of SP leftovers Devon Alexander, but many are clamoring for a Kahn vs Mayweather or Pacquiao show down. I think a Kell Brook vs Amir Kahn show down would do a lot more for me for proving either of their credentials before fighting Mayweather or Pacquiao. I think who ever won the fight would be the 3rd best welter in the weight class.
Brooks is one of many overrated fighters from across the pond. It's been proven throughout history that whenever they step up their competition against a real American champ/fighter they are humiliated and exposed.
Porter was considered to be a beast by many on here. Brook beat him comfortably. I think people do sleep on Brook and the is fair given his level of competition bar Porter. But the way he handled Porter you can't not put Kell at elitle level.
Personally I wouldn't want to sleep on kell brook it's sound very uncomfortable and frankly extremely unhygienic but I suppose whatever floats you're boat
Beating Porter is a very good sign. The thing about Brook is nothing stands out as 'Special.' I'd like to see him in with guys like Thurman (power), Khan (speed), Bradley (more experienced volume fighter than Porter), Rios (pressure), JMM (counterpunching) etc. to get an idea of what he excels at and what gives him trouble. He's not Mayweather/Pacquiao level, but I have no problem picking him over lower top-10 guys like Guerrero, Chaves, etc.
