Lol, you guys give Floyd way too much credit. SMH your reasoning is already flawed. If Floyds main focus is money and you think he could make the same amount from the NBC deal as the super fight wouldn't it stand to reason that he could make twice as much by both fighting and having the NBC deal? Seems to me you're rationalizing. Already defending Floyd for fighting Cotto rather than Manny?

Floyd would be nowhere without the fans and he doesn't want to pay them back. He's such a control freak and a sissy.... He won't make this fight unless Arum gets on his knees and kisses his dirty feet. Floyd always wants to be in control, step on people and show he's boss. Arum is no pushover and Pacqiao is no B fighter, he;s a A- fighter. It's just hard for Floyd when he doesn't own everyone and others dare to think they are at his level.

What do you need translated bro?

Edit: he said that the Floyd /Pac deal is almost ironed out. And there's a possibility of a charity match in London...something about a promise he made with Prince Harry

what does everyone think? I think khan pacquio has more promotional potential.

and if khan won would would the public stil want manny pacquio mayweather or would khan be prefered.

This is irrelevant anyways because may pac is signed and wil be announced soon.

the wembley/england time is just not doable as far as primetime viewing for a u s ppv.

i don't think both fighters would like fighting at dawn.

Khan-Pacquiao would do well in Las Vegas.

    Khan-Pacquiao=1.2 to 1.4 million PPV

    Mayweather-Cotto= 700k to 1million ppv.

I think people would gravitate to see Khan-Pacquiao.
I'd pay for it, and I'm on thats not buying Mayweather-Pacquiao if it gets made.

In other words. He's watched Arum's business practices over the years and has learned quite a bit. A most recent example being when Floyd had said Manny needs to sign with TMT to make the fight. Anyone remember what Bradley, JMM, & Mosley did to get that Pac fight? Is it karma?

This reminds me of something Lebron James eluded to about a week ago. About how nobody has any issues with the men in the front offices wearing the suits making the decisions on what is the best deal they can make for themselves. But then let the athlete do the same thing and all of a sudden people have problems with it. Like a football player holding out for a better contract prior to the new NFL season, or a basketball player exiting a team for another to get that big money contract, or a boxer knowing his worth and negotiating as such. Can never fault a man for making as much money as he can while he is able to perform at a high level. Because once Father Time comes knocking, those extra zeros on those paychecks disappear. Forever!

Lol please tell me you're joking.

    Margarito
    5"11, 73" reach
    Destroyed

    ODLH
    5'10 1/2, 73" reach
    KO

    Algieri
    5'10 1/2, 72" reach
    Destroyed

    Mosley
    5'8, 71" reach
    KD, beat down

    Clottey
    5'8, 70" reach
    Beat down

    Morales
    5'7, 72" reach
Lost first fight (awful cut over eye, forced to wear different close, blood drawn day before fight, and was one-dimensional) and Morales still had to go through hell, pain, and fire to win it.
    Won second fight easy, KO

    Barerra
    5"6, 70" reach
    TKO

    I could go on.

Reach has never posed a problem to Pacquiao nor has height. He's able to take that advantage away early in the fight, and I can't think of any fighter who's ever been able to control their distance from Pacquiao. Usually after the fight it's more, "I couldn't keep him off me."

Also, if you want to talk about the history of his losses, you'd recognize the only way to beat him would be to knock him out or hurt him badly- not outbox him. Winning against him has nothing to do with reach advantage. It has more to do with willingness to engage.

Mayweather is postponing his trip to Australia to where to happens after Superbowl (Feb 4). Idk if it has any correlation with Pacquiao and negotiations, but one can hope.
