Found this interesting article and it raised a ton of questions .

    http://www.thesweetscience.com/arti...have-forgotten-the-most-important-rule-of-all

So at one point during Darius Michaelchewsi's reign Antonio Tarver was his mandatory and the WBO never forced that fight ..And the circumstances regarding Tua and Corrie Sanders was outright wrong !

Some interesting Pts were raised concerning their enforcement of rules !

    Great post!

    It was an interesting read.

This is what's wrong with boxing.

There's corruption and favouritism, and there's too many cooks in the kitchen.

Four main organisations is just too much in boxing. Because their rules and regulations, are always going to criss cross with each other.

This is why people have to ask for extensions etc.

A fighter can't fall in with each organisations rules and regulations, because circumstances won't allow it to happen.

If you keep one organisation happy and follow their rules, it may affect your standing with another.

I know there's always been corruption, but bring back the old days. It was a lot better.

Also, I never knew that Dariusz's manager Peter Kohl, was part of the WBO. That explains a lot.

Exactly Lou see how DM got away with fighting bum after bum ..After winning the title ..There was a huge conflict of interest with the WBO ..And remember how DM was so called unreasonably stripped for his IBF and WBA belts yet look at how the WBO treated Tua with Sanders :patsch

    Correct.

I don't care what anyone says, Dariusz wasn't outraged by those decisions.

In fact, it appears to me that it didn't bother him in the slightest.

All of the guys on this forum that comment on that situation, seem much more bothered than he did.

Listen I don't blame him he was making big money defending that belt but the double standards is whats the real issue ..Seems DM ducked Tarver yet no one ever discusses that !

    I don't blame him either.

His situation reminds me how Joe C handled his career for the most part.

But the only problem I have with it, is that both guys IMHO, pretended that they wanted the biggest fights out there, but they were unable to obtain them due to circumstances.

But in my mind, nobody would make the amount of defences that those two did, had they not been happy with the set up.

If you look at Dariusz's resume, his intentions seemed clear.

A fighter called Freeman Barr was mentioned in the article that you uploaded. According to Frank W, he didn't want to make that fight for Joe, but Joe wanted it, even though Barr had beaten absolutely nobody, and he'd lost twice at MW.

Not sure what you find so interesting? :huh
Could it be that Tarver was not interested in challenging DM?
I seem to recall that R Hatton was WBO mandatory for the undefeated champ D Corley, yet Hatton stayed defending his WBU belt and I recall Corley even mentioning Hatton not challenging

He may not have been bothered but defending a title in a month is alot for many fighters who have just gone 12 rounds. Also he won the titles and was known as the champ

How do you get to that conclusion? Do you know Tarver wanted to go for the title?

Who said elite? Prince wasnt a bad challenger at all. Had you followed Prince on the way up? I did and he was a big punching fighter.
You could ask who Jones beat at LHW who was what you call Elite?
I asked you the question before about what you call elite and you completely ducked the question, so please again, define elite
