The only thing Murray has been working on is trying to find some bare skin for a new tattoo. Work ethic...have you seen how out of shape he's been in his last few fights? As for his fearlessness...cluelessness more like...it's unnerving alright...unnervingly thick!

Wow..! So of all I've said there, the main points you comment on are his tattoos ! Wow!

Fearlessness/stupidity - if I'm honest that's a fine line, many would say that anyone getting in the ring with GGG is stupid, but with a lot of fear, they've already been beaten before the first bell - not something I feel will happen with Murray.

Yes his fitness was questionable in the past (however he went the 12 with Martinez did he not? And sturm? Yes he did) it's a known fact he struggled to "get up" for some fights, I'd say that's understandable if u have put the performances in like he did in above mentioned, and recieved nothing for it.

Rest assured he won't be "lazy" and you will see a strong, wise work ethic come the night of the races.

Not for a second am I saying that he goes out and bamboozles him & stops him... All I'm saying is, every man is beatable - and for Murray to actively seek this fight, when it's not the most rewarding , there must be something in that. Think about it!

    Every dog has his day!

He did"go12" just about with sturm and sergio. But it could be plainly seen that he had no engine and cannot go up throught the gears. He never pushed Sturm at all (admittedly Felix was levels above), and with Sergio there for the taking..it was there on a plate for him...he couldnt/wouldn't take advantage.

Whatever about trying and failing..like Macklin and Barker did, there is great honour in that .Murray never went for it at all. Hugely disappointing boxer for me. Clearly he doesn't have the heart of a true champ. He laid off when the going got tough in both fights. He has no appetite for boxing. He prefers the tattoo parlour to the gym.

I fail to understand what ye all find so impressive about Murray.

in some ways its a no lose fight for him, bit like a 2nd div team drawing man united in cup, if they lose they're expected too, if they win / draw or put in a decent performance they'll get credit.

if he lasts more than 3 rounds that's better than macklin, geale and Rubio.

Not really "better" than those 3 though. They went out on their shields. True warriors. With champions hearts. They can hold their heads up high. They deserve credit.

Murrays heart isn't in the fight game, anyone can see that. He just goes through the motions, shelling up behind his big arms and"surviving".

Macklin and Rubio went out alright, but not on their sheilds. They were scared of Golovkin and folded. How is Rubio a ''true warrior with a champions heart'' when the guy didn't even make weight before collapsing like Bruce Seldon on a bad day?

Murray won't beat Golovkin, but he'll put more into trying to than Macklin and especially Rubio did.

    Really ?

Murray won at least 2 of the last 3 rounds against Sturm, and thats the opinion of lots of people, not just Murray fans.

Murray may have let a chance slip, but maybe he thought he'd done enough, or maybe he thought he needed a KO to get a draw.

Murray fought Martinez in Buenos Aires, in front of 50.000 Martinez fans, but you don't think he has the stomach for a fight ?

Murray is fighting GGG next, why hasn't Sturm fought GGG ?

Your agenda is as transparent as your house windows, big up Sturm constantly in some vain attempt to make the Macklin performance seem even better.

Your hatred of Murray is bordering on obsessive, in fact its rather embarassing.

Did you catch him poking your wife ?

Most people watching the fight and scoring in the RbR had it for Sturm, and the 12th had Murray hanging by a thread.

True - its amazing how myths take hold and legends are born. For the rest of our lives we will be hearing of how Murray was 'robbed' versus Sturm! Pure fantasy.

If anything Sturm was robbed of a win.
It was blowback from the Macklin robbery that benefitted Murray.
Macklin was the pioneer who fought the big two first. He faced peak Sergio (this is not just my opinion, Sergio himself says so repeatedly). Murray fought a pale shadow of the Sergio Matt faced - and still was well beaten.

Murray is a one-paced plodder with no engine. :bbb :deal

And considered the best MW in Britain.

    Questionable loss to Martinez.

    Questionable Draw against Sturm.

    Macklin....

    Questionable loss to Sturm.

Stopped while being behind on the cards against Martinez.

Stopped after a one sided shellacking against Golovkin.

What will you say if Murray lasts more than 3 rounds against Glovokin ?

And please don't make out that Macklin was in a firefight and got caught. He was in reverse for most of the fight, and using his gloves as ear muffs ( something you constantly berate Murray for ).

I'm beginning to think you're trolling Len, cos your really clutching at straws with some of these comments.

By the way Len, the name Murray is Scottish, and Dark Porter originated in London :good

Nah Len to be honest here you have come out with some splutter on this post.

Murray beats mack 10 times from 10 - I'm totally neutral when it comes to the middles, but fact is - mack is way too shot , whether it was all the previous fights catching up and taking a toll I don't know- in his last fight he was a mere shell of the fighter he used to be. Mack was by far a lot more entertaining over the years, but he's done. And he was before the GGG shoeing..

Rubio went out on his shield? Cods wallop!

True about Rubio.....I shouldn't have included him.

I know Murray is currently doing better than Macklin, obviously SS.
Mind you Murray hasn't impressed me much at all, it's just that, as you say Macklin appears shot. Wheyher he can recapture top form is doubtful. But a top form Mack beats Murray for me.:thumbsup

Yeh a top mack, a mack a few years ago that never quite got the rub of the coin may well of beat Murray, well never know & tbh of all the middles (barker, lee,Murray & mack ) there was a time I'd say mack was by far the favourite to win world honours, that time faded very fast though.

Best bet for Matthew is to retire, before he finds himself making up the numbers in fights against the likes of BJS , Eubank & etches... Once a fighter is shot the decline is very quick.as many know.

Wheras Murray has a style that will prolong his career, win or lose against GGG & as I've said his major advantage is his mindset , which will mean he can go on to fight again even if he's blown out inside a round
