Bold statement seeing as selby got licked again the other night in the wsb and threw the dummy out after the commonwealth saying he felt like packing it in

obviously Selby is very good but don't just blame the gum shield for his loss to McFadden he was behind on points in any case, lacked respect for himself and his opponent in the games so he got what he deserved BEAT

I got a freebie for the Boxing at the Commonwealth games. On the day the weather was scorching, so I walked there, but I got terrible sun burn on the back of my neck. In the town they fat volunteer guides were cutting you off and directing you about, and I ended up walking a longer way to get to the Arena. Once I got in an sat down the back of my neck was red raw and it was a fiver for a wee pishy, tiny bottle of beer you tan in one gulp.
The boxing was not much better and some of the heavyweights were in shocking nick (athletes my eye). Honestly, you couldn't have paid me to go back again !

Correct, that summed up my experience almost to a T. Trying to get in was a joke, had to wait about half an hour and those pathetic 'stewards' were as incompetent as they come. The whole thing was a farce tbh.

Tell me about it, mate! I knew the Commonwealth games were going to be a disaster. It was a disgrace from start to finish. I mean to go to all that trouble for a ridiculous, outdated, colonial jamboree :nut

On the day I went to the boxing the standard shocked me though. It was disappointing.

    Best games ever, ma boaby!

It doesn't look good for Burns that's for sure. I don't see how Hearn pimping Burns out to one of Al Haymons boys is going to get him back to headlining shows in Scotland unless he wins of course. But Burns has that "time of the month" fighter look about him at the minute, so it's highly unlikely.

David Brophy and Stephen Simmons can't headline any shows because they will need to have a breakout fight first, but when will that be? I mean nobody hardly knows these two exist.

Everybody knows Willie Limond as he's been hanging around for almost ever. He's now waiting on a step up to European level, but that doesn't look like it will materialise any time soon either.

What do all these boys have in common - Alex Morrison.
I think Mr Morrison needs to take some responsibility.

Morrison needs to start doing what's best for his fighters. I mean going to Iceland and Farmfoods for cheap snacks for his overpriced finger buffet shows isn't going to benefit Scottish boxing. If foods his thing these days then he would be better getting himself a burger van outside Ibrox.

with respect moog you don't even know Ricky Burns let alone predict he's mentally done, indeed from what he tells me his sparring ect has been going very well, so if he does fight for a world title in April get behind him because at present he's the only scot capable of fighting for a world title

The lad moog has a point billy in terms of mental stregnth , From gonzales onwards and more so since beltran , ricky has looked very very gunshy and miles out of range , struggles to engage and always seems to be over stretching lunging on his punches which leads to him getting picked off !!! IMO the jaw has had significant phsycological damage
