The Ghost could Thurman, he'll be in his grill all night and if he can drag One Time into one of his wars, Guerrero will win, and I would write off Guerrero dropping Thurman either, Guerrero has sneaky power that he shows occasionally like in the Honorio and 2nd Diaz matches and of course the 2 time dropping of Berto, so I think Guerrero can hurt Thurman.
Guerrero's chin is made of titanium, Thurman I doubt will KO him or even knock him down.

Thurman will try for the early finish and when he doesn't get it he will get on his bike. Thurman wins a close decision.

Tough call. I'm a go with Thurman, I'd be surprised if he stops Guerrero.

    Joel Casamayor (2-division world titlist)
Malcolm Klassen (2-time IBF 130lb world titlist)
Jan Zaveck (former IBF 147lb world titlist)
Gamaliel Diaz (eventual WBC 130lb world titlist)
Michael Katsidis (2-time WBO 135lb world titlist)
Andre Berto (former WBC and IBF 147lb world titlist)
    Leonard Bundu (dominant European champion)
Jesus Soto Karass (contender/gatekeeper, posting wins over Berto, Aydin, Jones, Smith)
Diego Gabriel Chaves (top contender, held the interim WBA 147lb world title, extremely competitive in both of his pro losses and the draw)
Selcuk Aydin (perennial top 5ish welter contender)
Martin Honorio (high-level contender/gatekeeper, posting wins over Rogers Mtagwa, John Molina Jr., Wilton Hilario, Fahsai Sakkreerin, with close losses to champs Mendez & Salgado)
Vicente Escobedo (former Olympian and world-class operator until 2012 when mauled by an overweight Broner)

    ...none worth a damn, huh?

I even left off Quintana, former WBO 147lb world titlist, since he was badly shot and Thurman deserves less credit for beating that version of Quintana than for beating, say, Orlando Lora.

Better chance than he ever had of stopping Bundu (which nobody should have given him flack over not doing, IMO)

Guerrero has been hurt by Salido and Yordan at lighter weights... and he'll give Thurman a lot more flush counter-punching opportunities than did Bundu..

I think Thurman wins this so long as he is able to keep Guerrero at range (which I think he will be able to). His accuaracy and shot selection is decent and no matter how good Guerrero's chin is, he isn't going to easily take and walk through big punches all night to land his own. When Bundu was dropped, it was from a hook-uppercut on the inside (if I remember correctly) when he lingered a moment too long: Thurman hits a bit hard to trade with at mid range and boxes well and keep opponents honest from long range. Guerrero will have to try to sap Thurman's energy and sit on his chest, like he did vs Berto, but Berto boxed awfully stupidly that fight (with a shoulder roll and little/no foot movement). Thurman is fleet-footed enough that he should be able to keep Guerrero (who is also naturally smaller) at bay. Bundu had little/no success walking down Thurman and getting inside and I doubt Guerrero is slicker than him: factor in Guerrero's relative inactivity and I see this as Thurmans to lose. (I'm not entirely sold on Thurman's chin but Guerrero probably won't be the one to crack or really test it).

Thurman by mid to late round stoppage, whether KO or ref stoppage.

The ghost has been in 2 crucial wars his last 2 of 3 fights:

Andre Berto & Yoshihiro Kamegai ....

Not to mention, he would have been stopped by Floyd, had TBE not hurt his hand in the round were Robert wanted to quit.

I think Robert is a respectable fighter, but not smart enough to handle a thinker like Thurman.

People dismiss Guerrero because he's a walking punching bag who can't do a single pull up.
