Thurman's last outing was poor? atsch It was voted onto a poll of 2014's Individual Performances of the Year, so...
And Guerrero Kamegai a lot of people including myself had as top 5 fight of the year. So doubleatschatsch
Got to go with Thurman. Guerrero hasn't really done that much at 147lbs and Thurman has incredible power at that weight and decent boxing skills. Can't see him losing to Guerrero.
Apparently Thurman's last performance was poor but he won every round against a guy who is arguabley as good as anybody Guerrero has beaten at 147lbs.
It wasn't remotely poor FFS. The only people saying that are either a) just assuming because they've never heard of Bundu (since they DKSAB) and he was down early that he was some pushover and should've been knocked out and/or b) holding Thurman up to some ridiculous standard, with expectations somehow beyond pitching a near shutout of an experienced, crafty, world class, unbeaten welterweight. The fact that some of them were close frames in which Bundu didn't allow him to score much doesn't make it anything less than a very good performance by Thurman.
Clearly in the minority here but I see the Ghost giving Thurman a tough ugly fight and pulling what I'm guessing will be called an upset.
All people who hate Mayweather, therefore, they hate Guerrero by association. Since Thurman could end up being a Mayweather opponent, so they refuse to take him serious too. They refuse to give any credit for either fighter and did not even vote at the time I posted this. It's so obvious, just haters. They won't vote because then they'll have to give credit afterwards.
Thurman will hit the ghost harder than he's ever been hit, but the ghost will be able to draw Keith into a brawl at times. This will be a painful night for the smaller guerrero and he will be lucky to see the final bell, which I believe he will.
i've seen fighters early on in their career that look better than thurman only to end up falling flat on their faces.
