Not gonna disagree but the best heavyweight is always the best fighter in the world. GGG is probably seen as the best middleweight in the world.

I saw the fight live and I felt Rubio to the easy route out. In other words he never really gave himself a chance to win and had lost the fight before the bell even rang, is the impression I get.

You act like that type of shot, from that hard of a puncher, wouldn't hurt. There's a reason why he kept rubbing that spot even after the fight was stopped. And if it's never happened to you, I'm sure others can attest to how much you get messed up from having your neck jammed down like that.

Yeah, Rubio gets up drooling with a crooked neck as he holds his head, gazing off in the distance and yet they claim he was not hurt. :patsch

At least this was not some stupid PED thread, which I anticipated when I saw "tested" in it's title.

    I personally think Andrade/Canelo @ 154/60 beats him and Ward at 168.

I don't think he's been tested yet I think Geale was a decent scalp, Murray is ok neither are much to really write home about. Outside of that his resume is filled with guy's best known for losing semi big fights.

I think GGG is an exciting prospect and I'm intriuged to see where he goes but right now he's overrated. I think Quillin is ducking GGG but that's about it Canelo/Cotto are better/more accomplished fighters so if thry fought each other that ain't a duck. What Cotto does next could be though.

Ward @168? Probably - I still favour Andre over GGG (assuming he comes back the same fighter he used to be) but actually believe he'd be in the toughest fight of his career.

Canelo and Boo Boo though? Not so much.... Canelo is neither as strong or skilled as GGG and his footwork and ring control are sloppy... lost to Floyd, arguably lost to Lara (though myself I'm 50/50 on that one) close fight with the not very good Trout. Boo Boo? Life and death with Vanes?

I would like to see GGG in with a skilled mover like Lara or perhaps Andrade - we saw a little of how he'd cope with the problem against Geale (and to a lesser extent Rosado who actually did a pretty good job of evading Golovkin - for a while- but lacked the ability to counter effectively), but if Lara can't convincingly beat Canelo with 'move and counter' and can be caught by the plodding Perro then he has little hope against the far more intelligent GGG whose ability to cut off the ring is amongst the best in the sport.

Personally I think GGG is the real deal and there is no one in the middleweight division good enough to test him, moving up and fighting ward don't really interest me as ward could put a glass eye to sleep with his style but id love to see him move up and go toe to toe with froch, 2 great chins and 2 sluggers who I think would put on a great show. Real 50/50 fight.

Golovkin will soon become Cotto's mandatory and should be able to force Cotto to fight him. Golovkin by knockout...............Golovkin is, by far, the best middleweight in the world today.............Quillin ran from him, Void refused to fight him at 154. Ward has a big fight with Stevenson if he wants it, but he is afraid and refused to even answer Stevenson after Stevenson called him out live on HBO, Stevenson said he would come down to 168 if needed. When asked if he would fight Kovalev, Ward said that Kovalev is too big for him, yet Ward was a light heavyweight in the amateurs. Ward will only fight in his home town with his person referee, judges, boxing commission and his best punch is his head............

Yes he's been tested. passing a test with flying colours does not mean it wasn't a test.
