    Leonard 5'10" 74" turned pro 141 lbs.

    Duran 5'7" 66" turned pro 118 lbs.

    No...not the same size.

I think both Duran and Leonard get him out of there in 8

well, the thing is, floyd's dad hung with srl for about 11 rounds...i think floyd is a much better fighter than his dad. i think he beats srl...if srl moves and fights his normal style, it would be a tougher fight for floyd. but if srl fights flat-footed like against duran, it's easy work for fmj.

as for duran, i had srl beating him in the first fight, so you know i think floyd would beat duran handily.

I don't need a lecture from your racist hating ass. Just because I don't think Duran walked on water doesn't mean I don't think he's not an ATG. I'm pointing out the fact he had a losing record against his rivals. If you don't like it too bad. I don't care how old he was he was the fact is he was wasn't shot when he faced these guys and he lost. Great fighter but lost more than he won against his main rivals. You Duran apologist seem to make an excuse and can't come to grips that he lost get, over it.

Mayweather sr. has a slightly different style. Leonard looked like he was taking it easy anyway

Lightweights that would have definitely beat duran based on my watching many duran fights.
    - Sweet pea
    - Ssm
    - Fmj
    - Aaron pryor
    - Benitez
Guys that would have given duran a tough, tough fight and had a good chance of beating him.
    - Arguello
    - Jcc
    - Kostya tszyu
    - Henry Armstrong
    - jmm
Guys that would have lost to duran but would have been very competitive.
    - Ike Williams
    - Robert guerrero
    - Diego corrales

Waiting to hear how a startling 8 inch wing span difference, 3 inches in height are the same size...just ignoring one guy turned pro over 20 lbs heavier.

You don't even see discrepancies like this in Klitschko fights.

So Duran's main rivals turned pro 5-10 years after at anywhere from 4-8 weight divisions higher than him?

You don't find that unusual? What black fighters do you hold to this standard?

Would you say Golovkin is Mayweather's main rival?

OK, but the bottomline is, duran has a losing record against all those guys....i mean, if andre berto was to move up to mw and lose to all the top mw, would you give him props for that? c'mon dude...besides, it's not like duran was fighting at lw and jumped up...duran had a coup;le of ww fights under his belt. the only fight duran was at a physical disadvantage was the hagler fiight which he also lost.

but then again, duran also lost to bums like laing and simms. so, i'm not convinced his reputation as this great, indomitable warriior was deserved.

The difference is spinks isn't an atg and Ali was completely shot so you're not going to argue that. Benitez hagler srl and Hearne are all time greats and all of them have wins over Duran. H2h he didn't do well against them and his record proves it

    Just Hagler?

3 inches height, 8 inches reach to Leonard
6 inches in height, 12 inches in reach, 7 years of age to Hearns

    For comparison.

Klitschko had 4 inches in height, 5 inches in reach on Povetkin.

Whittaker gives him fits and can make it close. Mosley, Tszyu, Williams, Guerrero, Corrales, and Mayweather get beat. Pryor could win a decision if he's on "The Mix". Arguello I think gets beat similarly to the way he beat Cuevas. Armstrong was rough, so yes he could beat him. Duran wears down Chavez in a give and take fashion. I assume it's prime for prime so I'm going by a lw Duran, not a ww or higher

duran looked great in the first leonard fight for ONE reason and ONE reason only!...leonard chose to fight him flatfooted instead of box. that gave duran lots of undue opportunities and advantages because srl was fighting duran's fight.

STILL even with all that, i have srl winning the fight...and the judges had it close enough it could have gone either way.

what happended when srl chose to box?...no contest.

i just think duran is very, very popular...and that popularity feeds his reputation...but his reputation wasn't fully deserved....he was a great lw, but far from the best ever..and as a ww and beyond he pretty much lost to all the top fighters and even a few bums.
