This is gonna be a non-issue as Pac is probably the most difficult fighter in the sport to pin against the ropes or draw into an inside fight. Rios has excellent inside game, and he could barely get off. Margarito pinned Pac against the ropes and Pac sliced him up.

Floyd can't make it an inside fight because Pac doesn't fight like Maidana or Rios or Guerrero.

But to answer your question, Pac DOES have an inside game - it's not anything spectacular, but it's there.

 

he does not really have an inside game so walking him down with the high guard makes sense for a guy like floyd to do like he has done in the past against southys


its more if you try and corner a guy like pac you eat 8 punch combinations (and a prime pac would likely land atleast 7 of them)

Yeah, but his combos are severely overrated. Remember that 10 punch combo that he landed on Bradly? All 10 punches landed clean and what happened... Bradly just laughed them off and invited Pac in for more.

Its not about Mayweather making it an inside fight.
Mayweather with his height and reach does'nt need or have to do that.
The question here is what will Pacquiao revert to if Mayweather is keeping and controlling Pacquiao at the end of his jab.

What does Pacquiao do if he's not reaching Mayweather with the way he usually fights?
Marquez was finding and hammering Pacquiao on the way in.
If Pacquiao had an inside game, with his speed of hands, it would have benefited him against Marquez, but instead, whenever both were in close, Marquez was consistently getting the better of it with his short hooks and uppercuts.

If Mayweather controls Pacquiao from distance, what does Pacquiao then do to counteract that?
