its just typical loyalist aggression towards the nationalist people... although in this case their aggression was mistakenly aimed at their "own" kind as they were under the impression that the dockers boxing club is a exclusively catholic club whereas its mixed and the boxers they were abusing were in actual fact protestants ... this aggression generally doesnt manifest itself in boxing circles but its part and parcel of life in the black north:good
Well make the most of the opportunity then young man! Use some initiative. Bring the boss a cup of tea in her office. Women love that. A bit of brown-nosing goes a long way. You can read my insightful posts about boxing some other time. Jeez...do I have to hold your hand for you!!
Good to have you back. The "them and us" 'siege mentality' is a big problem alright. Been up north lots and it is still evident at times. Even at Carls last fight on the docks I got a taste of it again from a couple of old geezers living in the past. (Let me be clear..that was ONE very minor incident, just rudeness really, only from a couple of saddos...nothing against Northern people, who I think are great!) )Hopefully the passage of time and influx of new blood, young people etc will eradicate it.
Jono Carroll signs with Fastcar and Spike signs with Ken Casey in America, also I see Stephen Carroll is goin pro aswel out of Paschals gym and will be fighting on the Redcow show, good fighter with a pro style .
im going no where as this land is my land...fcuk it i feel a song coming on Ira! This Land Is Your Land By Charlie And Thebhoys Lyrics Chorus: This land is your land this land is my land from the northen highlands to the western islands From the hills of Kerry to the streets of Free Derry Singing this land was made for you and me. As I was walking through the Shannon Waters hand in hand with my little daughter Hear the church bells ringing and the children singing this land was made for you and me Chorus: When I climbed the mountain when I crossed the fountains and I heard the Waens rore With the lovely sea shore her eyes were gleaming she said "oh daddy" this land was made for you and me. Chorus: Then I walked the homeland the village steeple proud of my country Proud of my people from the men who tried there to the men who died there singing this land was made for you and me Chorus: (repeat x2) *----------------------------- :good
