Myweather is the most conservative and intelligent tactician i've seen in boxing.

The problem here is that Pacquiao is so fast and his angle of attack/punch combinations is something Floyd has never come close to facing in the ring.

Against fighters like Cotto, Maidana and Canelo, Floyd simply avoided getting hit and countered accurately. This is much more difficult to do with Pacquaio as pacquio can throw quicker combinations and flurries none of these fighters can throw. Offense is sometimes best defense and i predict Floyd will get hit often when he tries to counter; as he punches, pacquiao will be throwing and it's speed battle Floyd can't win consistently. Not only will Pacquiao match him in speed, he will be throwing from angles floyd has never dealt with before. I don't think Floyd will be able to just fight defensively and counter... HE WILL GET HIT TOO.

Again, who has ever beaten Pacquio on points? Of his 5 losses, 3 were KO's, 1 was a total robbery (Bradley) and the other Erik Morales by points. Erik Morales then got KO'd in two subsequent fights so his win by UD was kind of an anomaly; pacquiao learned and improved.

Many here think Floyd winning by points will be easy but i see it as a big challenge. Floyd WILL get hit often and whilst Pac may end with lower %, i see them landing on each other equally. It's just impossible to avoid getting hit by Pacquiao unless you run and refuse to fight. He's too fast and throws too many combinations from unpredictable angles.

No defensive fighter jas had much luck with Pacquiao - Clottey or bradley... the ones that have beaten him are KO punchers or aggressive fighters.

Lol wouldn't that make Floyd 5'8" with shoes? 5'6" barefoot using the same logic applied to Pac.

Pac does not need a inside game, Pac controls punching distance and that punching distance can be at various angles. His footwork negates fighters trying to pin him into a inside game.

    THIS is exactly right.

I'm just fine if they both do exactly what they always do and we get to see how it turns out.

    Yessir- please no bad scores.

Bingo. In some cases, the fear is so transparent it's ridiculous. They are close enough in height not that big of a deal.

I've said before that Pacquiao had one game plan based around his frankly absurd physical attributes of a great chin, fast hands and power, unending stamina, fast feet. Why else would marquez beat him. Marquez is smarter and learned the Pacquiao method over numerous fights. Pacquiao didn't change at all really in his approach.

Faint and counter, step in and hit in middle range, throw at the same time Floyd throws, trade jabs. There are a lot of options even before considering an inside game.

Remember what maidana did that knocked Floyd's teeth out and daze him? A lead left which kinda acted like a faint to let Floyd throw a counter right and Maidana countered that.

If Maidana had what it takes to set that up then Its pretty fair to say that Pacquiao has more than a decent chance to pull that off.

With a left, a better weapon against an orthodox.

Lampley is worlds better than renalo or whatever his name is. Put Lampley, al, n max in the booth. Throw roy in there for comedic relief. Buffer announces. Let Larry do the interviews. Epic. I would say put Paulie in there to counteract Lampley. Their respective hate/love of pacquioa would certainly be entertaining. But I think they could end up on a fight themselves. N Bernstein would be in the middle laughing egging them on. I think al secretly wants to choke Paulie out most nights.

It's funny how they talk so much trash and brag and boast but as soon as the fight starts looking like a reality they begin making excuse after excuse.

And people who say Floyd is scared to this day will back track and say he only took the fight because Pac is old. You can't call Floyd scared and then flip it. I see it all the time.

Neither Paulie nor Ward. Paulie = biased as **** against Pac. Ward = biased as **** toward blacks.

For play by play, I like the British dudes from Sky better, I actually like their commentary too.

Lampley is ok but I hate that he calls shots that don't land all the time.
