Ironically, when Wilder's management was asked about Wladimir, they said that a college prospect shouldn't be thrown to the lions and that Wilder could fight Povetkin for $10mil in Russia.

That's why I asked earlier about the credibility of this source. This contradicts what was said earlier by Finkel.

Not really, Povetkin had problems because of Wlad's holding tactics. Wilder doesn't do that and I don't think he's nearly as strong as Wlad if he does do it.

The Povetkin offer was already on the table when Wilder's management was asked about Klitschko.

It's funny that they brought it up only to turn it down soon after.

Wilder also might end up fighting Povetkin for less than 10mil in early 2016.

Thats ok. I don't like that fight for Wilder yet. He should fight fury. Then just go for Klitchko. Maybe fight Pov after Fury if he wins. But Povetkin shouldn't be priority.

High risk medium reward fight. So I wouldn't make it a priority.

Italian boxing website. Wilder's team confirmed the offer as well if I'm correct.

This won't be like stiverne vs wilder, povetkin throws punches.

It's not a foregone conclusion who wins though. Wilder has superior speed that might bamboozle Alex all night. Wilder did show it's harder to close the gap then we all thought.

This "article" is a rehash of an existing interview with Finkel, and its made to look like something it's not.

Finkel said: We could go to Russia and fight Povetkin for 10 million, but Wilder is not ready for that yet, he is still too green.

That in itself is not proof that a 10 mil offer was made, but rather a speculation on how much they could ask to travel to Russia.

Povetkin's manager said his next fight will be in May/June with an opponent as good or better than Takam, so Perez sounds about right.

If I was Wilder I'd cash in on a fight with Fury this summer, he at least has a chance of winning it, it should generate good money in US. Then he can cash out against Wlad or Povetkin or dump the belt and save his '0'.

Sounds to me like they want to keep developing Wilder and progressivly build him up. Sounds like a stay busy fight first, then Fury, than on to Povetkin and then Wlad. This is the same route Wlad himself took. Why does everybody seem to have a problem with it now?

Yeah, hard for a dehydrated, diseased zombie to close the gap. Povetkin got in on Wlad consistently so I'd imagine he'd do the same to Wilder.
