Very good match up...Will have to give this one some thought. Turpin had a strange pop up style, a very good jab, and very strong physically.

If we're talking prime Turpin I think this is a difficult one for the cobra.
Turpin was a big middleweight who eventually fought at light heavyweight so he wouldn't be conceding much size if any to Froch.
He was very strong and had a very unorthodox style which gave Sugar Ray Robinson fits in both fights, plus he could bang.
I'm a fan of Froch but I'd favour Turpin here.

As a little kid I met Randy Turpin in a friend's Dads pub in Banbury England
Randy was from Leamington Spa. I remember Randy chatting to me he was great. The local newspaper the Banbury Guardian heard he was there & reporter came in. Randy said " Hi I'm Randy Turpin The Middleweight Champion of the World This is my friend C.J. The future champion"
I felt 10 feet tall Sadly Randy's prediction never came true LOL

May have beaten Froch but Turpin can rot in hell.

Why What did Randy do to you?? I doubt you were born when he was alive. Randy was no angel but he was no worse that lots of fighters today. He was great to me that's all I know

    :blood

Your buddy attempted to kill his 2-year-old daughter. Shot her twice, before he offed himself.

You go right on ahead clinging to your bar story and thinking he was a swell guy. You try murdering a toddler, and put bullets in one, your own flesh and blood, no less, a child of your loins, whose care and safety is your own responsibility - I don't care how many concussive lumps on the head you've taken or what your circumstances or motives were (in his case, the going story is money troubles, of all the perversely mundane reasons to commit such unspeakable violence upon an innocent), you're scum in my book.

    Good riddance.

Do you honestly think any man in his right mind would do such a thing. He must have been totally insane. BUT I don't ever see you condemning Floyd & his beating his babies Momma while his bodyguards held the kids and made them watch. I guess she deserved it huh
What they should have done with Floyd is put him in a cell with Big Bubba then he'd learn what it was like to be beaten and ****d. Instead he was in a holiday camp atmosphere total injustice

Funny how Mayweather "beat" her and didn't leave any marks. Wasn't Mayweather in solitary confinement during his jail term? Hardly a holiday camp.
