After that Heat game it seems as if both parties are on the same page. Most people think its as close as its ever been. I wouldnt be surprised if they're rushing the paperwork and hoping to make an announcement on sunday. We can only hope thats the case

If the fight is made, the announcement will come from Mayweather. Mayweather has used social media, including Twitter and Shots, to announce his last several fights.

Koncz said Mayweather wants to make the announcement, and that he and Pacquiao agreed.

I don't think clinching Pacquiao will be as easy as some think. The dudes smaller, and he has an inside-out footwork. You can't tie someone up when he's 4 ft away from you every few seconds, coming in, going out. Algieri tried in the 9th round and paid for it. But besides him, still have never seen someone have success and many have tried.

Pacquiao doesn't like to fight on the inside, but he still can hurt those who try. Plus, not sure why people think he's going to fight in a way that isn't his best advantage. Pacquiao is an elite fighter. He's going to fight his style no matter what Floyd tries to do.

I can't think of any reason why not. Pacquiao has the best footwork in the game. One small thing: a huge part of this game is who can get their lead foot on the outside of the opponent. I'm thinking...Pac has the huge advantage in this. Why? He knows 1,000% how to get his dominant foot on the outside because he's fought orthodox fighters his whole life. Mayweather has only fought like 3 C+/B- southpaws in his career, and I wonder if he'll be confused with his for a while when he's facing the best southpaw of this generation.

Pacquiao will only becomes reckless when he's hurt you. That's when he gets overly excited. Frustrated? He knows missing shots is a part of his game. I don't think frustration will be a problem unless he just can't hit Floyd AT ALL by the 6th round. That won't be the case though.

Inability to cut off the ring? I do admit he's struggled with this in the past, but he has done well, especially well, in recent fights like Algieri. Watch it. Most definitely the first 4 rounds. It was a huge improvement, and I was shocked because Algieri runs 5x more than Floyd.

And lack of jab? Pacquiao... ugh. atsch Like, no. Jabs won't even come into play here except maybe Pacquiao's power jab. But, it won't be a deciding factor. Don't worry. It won't be a JAB that will keep Floyd honest.

If it's fought at Floyd's pace he'll win. That's going to be hard though. Pacquiao always establishes the pace(very fast,intense), just like Floyd. Ring generalship will be a huge battle in this fight. No one can see who's pace it'll be, but that is definitely a very crucial aspect of this fight.

You can say the same thing about Pacquiao. No one has ever beat him by boxing him- he's too active, too overwhelming. Those who beat him did so by either knocking him out (engaging) or throwing WITH him, so taking severe punishment but hoping you'll land something that'll hurt him (Morales, Marquez). All in all, those who beat him went through Hell to do so. Is Floyd willing to take punishment? What happens if Floyd realizes Pacquiao's punches hurt him, but his are not hurting Pacquiao?

Another way to look at it... who will cause more collateral damage in the long run? Pacquiao's straight left? Or Mayweather's straight right. Because I promise you BOTH will land that shot.

The fight is 50/50 to me.

appreciate the points and post plus I agree its very 50/50 right now but dont forget about the 3rd fight with JMM he frustrated pac all night by using his feet putting manny off balance and not able to get his shots off now floyd is the best fighter in the game at executing a game plan best believe that if he finds weakness in pac he will exploit it and if it doesnt work he will try something else

the fact he is very adaptable in the ring to any situation gives him a nice little advantage that will help him swing the fight his way if pac is having dominant moments but manny really sticks to what he knows and if it aint working whats he gonna do? look at jmm 3 and 4 the shot that knocked pac out Marquez tried 2 times before and manny didnt see it or adjust this is going to be a big factor in the fight just as much as how will floyd deal with his workrate with his low offence output and still win rounds

My promoter and I, weve already agreed to the terms and conditions of whatever he wants. Were just waiting on the signed contract from him,

You see no mention of him signing a contract just that he had agreed to the terms that had been discussed between the various people involved.
