Do you or did you have an Aquamarine doll? I hate to be intrusive but I am just trying to understand you.

Toe-to-toe, its a tough contest between Holmes and Wlad. But imo, during their primes, Holmes looked vulnerable in many more fights. Lets consider Holmes prime 1978-1983, and Wlad's prime 2005-2012.

Regarding legacy, Wlad is already above Holmes. Look at what Holmes was doing in his 66th pro fight: he was fighting journeymen. Both have a similar number of title defenses (between 10 and 20, depends how you see it), but Wlad has unified three times, has been more dominant and consistent during fights, hasn't ducked real challenges, overall fought better fighters, etc.

Strongly dsagree about the competition aspect.

Wlad never fought a Norton, young Witherspoon,****ey or Spinks.
Also, I would consider Holmes prime more narrowly 1978-1980.

If you consider overall title defenses, Wlad has 22 and Holmes 20 (actually 19, Marvis Frazier was not a title defense).

If you consider when they were the top dogs of their divisiones, Wlad has 17 and Holmes has 17 (since Ali retired).

If you consider only Lineal title reigns, Wlad has 10 and Holmes 12.

The signs were there in the Bruno fight.

We know he was all over the place out of the ring.

We know he wasn't training like he had been.

You keep telling us that Wlad wasn't prime for any of his defeats. That's fine.

Your prime is when you're fit, focused, and you're fighting to your full capabilities, whilst getting good results.

It doesn't always have to be based upon your age.

Mike was only 29 when he came out of prison in 95. Yet he was a completely different fighter to the one he'd been in the mid 80's.

Spinks and Frazier would be decimated by random guys from today's era?

    :rofl

Seriously, just look at today's top 20.

Where does this stuff come from?

We've just seen a title fight between Wilder and Stiverne.

    We've seen Stiverne vs Austin.

    We've got Arreola, Pulev etc.

    You're living in a fantasy.

    Decimated?

Holmes has the best jab in history. But still, Wlad definitely has a jab, considering that's like 90% of the punches he throws.
