Provo, Rios, Alvarado, and Algieri were never top ten material. They were just matched well and brought up on Arum hype. You put them against Pac, May, Marquez, Brook, Khan, Alexander, Porter, Thurman and they leave on a stretcher. Broner is way overhyped, but at least he has a little substance to his game, same as Bradley. When Bradley went life and death with Provo, I could tell right away neither were as good as they were said to be.

3 different cameramen have been hospitalized for dehydration and exhaustion after following Lara around the ring the whole fight and another one pinched a nerve in his neck. FACT. :deal

of course boxers are going to say lara runs LOL. Lara beat them down then disappears. where did that guy go? I wanted to hit him. Other fighters wish they had the skill to just Tee-off on a fighter then be gone like a fart in the wind.

Call it what you like, I love it. I saw Ishay Smith almost in tears because he could not hit Lara. Poor Canelo was just hitting air and his best shot was on Lara's back you could see the frustration and swelling on his face.

Lara will have a great career and long one because he does not get the damage other FACE first punching bag fighters get.

Lara got skills its about that action boss.

Williams wasn't the fighter he was after Maravilla klonked him. I wouldn't of have given too much cred to Canelo for beating Williams at that point in his career either. Williams in his prime would of pressured and swarmed Lara worse than Molina did. Lara can't deal with good pressure fighters. Williams and Angulo were past their best when Lara fought them and we all know Canelo is no pressure fighter. After the 4th round, Canelo did a decent, but not great job attacking Lara's body and hurting Lara in the seventh. Also opened up a cut on Lara. I had it a draw, neither really did enough to win. I would like to see a rematch.

If other boxers call it running then you can bet it's RUNNING.

Nothing wrong with being a Lara fan and enjoying his skills but don't be disingenuous about his style. There's a thing line between running and boxing and Lara more than often crosses that line with his track shoes on.

Op thinks that having an appreciation for black guys who run and win fights by not fighting makes him special. Only a real boxing fan could appreciate that sweet science. He is an elite fan. A really special guy.

Lara plays tag, plain and simple. His style of boxing ideally, is to tag the opponent and avoid him for the rest of the round unless the opponent tags him back.

Outiside boxing is stick and move, not hit and avoid for as long as possible. Don't confuse one for the other.

he's the most avoided guy in the world. he would take canelo easier in the rematch. he beats cotto, ggg, kirkland. i think he'd he'd have probs with fmj though.

he needs a big breakout fight....and he's got star quality. if american audiences were able to see him on a big ppv stage in a performance like he gave against smith and williams and even angulo, he would be a real star.

one of the shames about boxing...a duck like canelo gets all this money and attention while a far superior fighter like lara basically goes unnoticed.
