Didn't mean to generalize you so if you took exception to that my bad.
As far as my assesment I don't see where I was too wrong GGG IS a slow(handspeed wise) power boxer, a patient stalker, who breaks opponents with power and good punch/foot placement.

Canelo IS a slow(as far as footspeed) aggressive counter puncher/boxer-puncher, with good hand speed, good/decent defense, picks his spots to open up his counter combos. I feel Canelos speed & defense takes this matchup others feel GGG's power takes out everybody hopefully we'll find out who's right :good :good

People say GGG is untested because he's fought one fight who ever managed to becone a champ an a bunch of guys who are best known for being tough while losing. If/when he beats am actual quailty fighter I have no problem giving him credit but right now he's in the same lane as the Thurmans, Andreades, & Varges interesting prospects

Golovkin has been fighting the best he can get. Quillin has surely been ducking him, Cotto is ducking him, Alvarez would get knocked out by Golovkin. Cotto would be an easy knockout for Golovkin. Golovkin is, by far, the best middleweight fighting today...............

The MW division is ruled by a WW so unless he moves up or there is some breakout comp he will not be tested at that weight. Are there tests for him at higher weights yes of course but he wants to own MW first and I don't blame him.

He obviously hasn't been tested as a whole, but the fact that solid B level fighters like Geale, Macklin, Rubio, Stevens, Rosado, ect.... barely made him switch gears, says something.

Cotto is just a scavenger who hunted shot Martinez. In no way he rules MW division. Somebody like Geale would comfortably beat him.

If we talk about tested. Then who is more tested for example. Jermain Taylor or GGG.

JT got back to back wins over Bernard Hopkins. He lost to Pavlik and had a bad run at 168. Now he holds a belt at MW again though. JT is more accomplished at the weight then GGG. In an all time MW ranking for me JT ranks higher.

    How about prime Kelly Pavlik?

Also still active is Bernard Hopkins. Did GGG achieve more then BHop? Would he have beaten RJJ who fought Bhop?

How would GGG do against the likes of Hagler, Monzon, SRR, even Duran, Hearns, SRL? Would you favor GGG over lets say Jake La Motta.

I understand the excitement about GGG. But some people go way over board claiming he is like top 10 MW of all time and stuff.

And I have said people already regard him as the best at 160 he doesn't need Cotto and wouldn't prove anything by beating him. I get he wants to unify but that doesn't improve his opposition when he can move up to a more talented division, make noise, and maybe get some respect.
