I do feel Lamar Parks would've beaten him at 160. Not sure Parks could fill further to 168 because he was squat and bulked enough at '60. Very sharp combinations, extremely heavy hands; awesome counter body shots for when Roy's hook leaps skim over Parks' head, and genuine one-punch KO power. He was better than Hopkins back then, no question. Shame about the HIV, and shame on McClellan's injuries (via Benn), or Jones would've had serious rivals his age and generation who would've likely taken him.

the common denominator in fighters jones didn't fight, is there unwillingness to make their name in the US
I keep referencing this because (and i'll say it again), fighters who make their names in the US get their big fights - if they are good enough to earn a shot at the king

The common denominator in the big fights not happening was Roy Jones.

8 yrs past his best he was on his 2nd title defense of his IBF belt..Let me guess Jones fought a shot Johnson:lol:

Not sure how they can ignore that. He ducked people with all different promoters and managers etc. It was a huge cross section so the ONLY common theme was Jones.

I will admit I have seen a ton of fights and have thousands on DVD and I have never seen Lamar Parks fight. Or really heard of him for that matter :huh

surely if you are examining fights in which roy jones was to be involved, then the common denominator WILL ALWAYS be roy jones. After all you are examining jones! he will always be the common denominator in possible jones fights.

Not sure how you can be so blind as to ignore that fact, Rico.

Man there are some funny fcuks on this forum.

Yeah a lunch where he was trying to get a Holyfield fight when Evander had his eye on fighting Lennox for 25 mil :rofl:patsch

The "Roy had lunch with Evander wanting a fight" is the biggest joke of an argument I have seen the Jones nuthuggers make.

A better example is how Roy jerked Buster Douglas around then when everything was agreed to opted to go fight more off duty cops instead. Same with Corrie Sanders when it came time to sign Roy bottled it. His track record at Heavyweight was embarrassing. Talk big about challenging big names then end up fighting drum roll...................................John freaking Ruiz :rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl

So how else do you get fights done genius ? Let me hear this since you know how to negotiate fights ?:think

Oh and had he fought fought Sanders you would still ***** it's not Lennox gtfo with your none sense !You always got something!his track record is emarrassing at HW once again he was JR. MIDDLE Weight ! Name another fighter who came from jr middle to even challenge for a Hw title and who also fought a super HW like LL since you love to fault Jones for not fighting a guy that size ! :patsch
