Morrison walked a tight rope his entire career to avoid exposure of his chin, stamina and lack of ring sense. He found problems with almost every B-level fighter he faced. 2 of the 3 A-level fighters he faced KO'd him. He ran from the third for the latter rounds, his back turned, his legs Jello, huffing and puffing as he carried the weight of pec implants. All the sadder. Pure supposition. A great KO puncher in Waldo didn't take him out. Briggs, first class in the powerpunching department, rocked him but paid the price. Whitaker, also with excellent power, couldn't turn the trick. Tommy's power was legit but a bit overrated because it was just about all he had. Lots of guys took lots of those hooks without falling the first time they were hit. I'm a big Joe Hipp fan but under no illusions he was world class. The fact that Morrison struggled so mightily with Hipp is hardly an endorsement. Rather it is an indication of Morrison's true class in the sport.
I agree with this and have always said the same myself. Had Morrison given a similar life and death performance against a true world class opponent, THEN it would have elevated him to the upper echelon of the division. But as tough as Hipp was, he was no more than fringe at best.
Once again you highlight everything wrong with Morrison, ignoring everything good he achieved that was far greater than Iggy , who proved nothing. Ever. The guy is soft and a quitter who doesn't belong anywhere near a warrior like Morrison. Ross Pirrity. All the sadder. Purrity could not beat Morrison could he? How is itsupposition:huh Foreman beat greater southies than Iggy so only pure logic states your opinion is incorrect. Wlad could not take him out because he did not try. Not once in the entire 12 rounds did he make the slightest effort to engage. It was a pitiful display from Wlad , so how can that be indicative of Iggys durability? Was Briggs not a bloated, puffed up, gassed out, immobile, apple cart who could not throw more than two punches a minute? You know this but ignore it to suit your agenda. Lots of guys were durable and fought their heart out to put food on the table in the 90's. Once again , Iggy was never in a fight and was panicked and dropped by a slow big stiff idiot in Austin. The same Autsin who lost to Harold Scorineres who was one of Wilder's early KO victims. At a time when Wilder's record was regarded as an embarrassment to professional boxing. Morrison blasted Hipp out of there with a broken jaw and two broken hands. Why do you not apply this reasoning to Wlad who struggled mightily with Peter and had to bend the rule book incessantly to win. And could not beat Willaimson but had to use a little scratch on his brow as an excuse to to quit. That says a lot more about Wlads true class in the sport than Morrison's , yet you ride Wlads jock strap something rotten:tired:dead:roll:
If a 12 year old with a Wlad complex posts in a forest and no one is there to listen, is it still a post
I wouldn't bet the house on SI, but I do think he would win a close, but comfortable UD. 116-112 or 117-111
I have no Wlad complex. Did I just wake up one morning and decide i'm not going to like Wlad for no reason? My judgement is based purely from unbiased observation . I'm one of the most objective posters in this fantasy Klitschko forum.
Im picking against Iggy here. The only reason Iggy wins is because Wlads opponents -who are generally recognized as the cause of this HW era being the worst talent pool in history- somehow manage to beat every champ , title holder , top contender , ATG, Hall of famer from previous greater era's. All Wlas has is resume. Picking holes in that goes against their agenda. This was established as soon as Mendoza stamped the thread with his usual fanatical Pro Klitschko jibberish. No logical un biased reasoning should have Iggy beating Morrison. His record is garbage.
No way Morrison lasts the distance. Iggy had excellent stamina and output. Tommy would not be able to hang. Sooner than later, Morrison would go all out and play his trump card and **** out. KO6.
