Gerrey would have destroyed guys like Thompson or Ibrahimigov.

Norton beat Ali , yet can't get past Haye?

These arguments here are ridiculous.Cearly Larry has the better wins. I am neither a Wlad nor Larry fan.Your views are biased as ****.

Haye would test Norton for sure wit his speed and strength, but at the end of the day he doesn't have the spirit and skills for Norton.

Norton would have reigned a while if he hadn't had to fight ATG holmes in his prime.

You know I can't stand Haye but style wise he is all wrong for Notron. Norton was a slow starter and with Haye's speed and power plus Norton's fragile Chin that doesn't make for a good ending for Norton.

Style wise it is an awful fight for Norton. When did Ali ever go for an early KO? Never. He liked to bank rounds and then stop someone in the championship rounds if he could.

It is unlikely to happen.I is not like Haye is a huge puncher like Shavers or Foreman.Completely different styles too.

This is why people relate to stats to prove who is the best.

I see Wlad's opponents are better in each one of those scenarios, but we can debate this until the cows come home.

What we can't debate is that Wlad possibly will have more title defenses than Larry when he hangs them up.

Are there any opponents on the horizon that you think could do the job and what are your feelings on them?

Yep.Wins over Wilder and Stiverne would improve Wlad's legacy.Wilder is a tall athletic guy with good power.Stiverne is a durable guy with good skills, he just had a bad night.

I do not think a win over Fury improves his legacy but it woukd be a fun fight which I would defnitely watch

Ok. What about if Wilder losses to someone else and Wlad beats that someone else.

Would you still give him credit?

Where do you think Wlad ranks right now as an ATG and if he beat Wilder what would you rank him?

Norton > Peter (although Peter has the power to KO old 1978 Norton).
Haye > Spinks (both are ATGs LHW and CW. Haye did more as a HW).
    Povetkin > 15-0 Witherspoon
Byrd > Shavers (Byrd would out box Shavers imo).

Toigh questions.I do not keep track of an ATG heavyweight list.Obviously, Wlad must be ranked somewhere cause he dominated an era and has been consistent.I do not hold his 3 losses against him but the level of competition.

As for somebody beating Wilder, I see that as unlikely. If now say Haye beats Wilder, than Wads win over Haye would further gain significance.
