He was down against a journeyman, he learned clinching and avoiding the fight with referees in the background since then. What makes you think he suddenly would be able to take a punch from GGG? Or do you think Gennady isn't going to land a single punch in 12 rounds?

    What has Ward to win?

The fact that Ward is very skillful and versatile and more proven than Golovkin makes me favor him in this fight .

Of course Ward is going to get rocked , it's inevitable .

How does Andre respond to GGG knockout power ?

Can't say . Hopefully we'll all find out 1 day...

If you really believe Ward has no chance I don't think you should be accusing others of being delusional. Golovkin could beat Ward but comparing their resumes and GGG being untested at 168 (and relatively untested at 160) you have to favor Ward.

By this logic, we have to favour everyone above GGG, even Cotto. You guys say GGG faced nobody.

    Hmmmm

Maybe because GGGs team clearly doesn't want the fight

I think Ward would definitely beat GGG

I'd be happy if I was wrong but I don't think I am

Huh? There's no comparison. Cottos a blown up JWW who got schooled by Austin Trout. Ward is an undefeated SMW who practically cleaned out his division. His top 5 wins are way beyond anything Golovkins done

Because Ward is a bigger more skilled fighter.

I'm not saying i'm delusional if i see chance that Ward wins if they do fight someday. Ward has size and weight advantage, he is fighting home country and with american judges. He knows how to fight negatively and knows how to cheat if necesary. I think he has small edge in handspeed also. Very good fight: small great fighter vs. Good bigger fighter.

He in fact is not overrated, he's only had the one fight because he has been in a contract dispute. prior to that he had beaten the who's who at 168..

I think Ward beats him, and I'm a fan of GGG and don't even like Ward, Ward's got the stylistic and physical advantage as well. It's still a fight I'd like to see down the line though.

I'm not so sure he has a stylistic advantage though, and thus far all indications are that Golovkin would not only be the most accurate puncher with the best jab but also the most power of anyone Ward has faced.

Wards only clear advantages are his ability to fight at any distance and transition between them flawlessly, and his slightly quicker hands.

He certainly has the ability to fight outside and be harder to hit than previous GGG victims, but that doesnt guarantee by any stretch he will land more significant blows and actually win the rounds.

I recommend people study his fight with Bika. Ward clearly won the fight, but not by much if you factor in the fact that many rounds were very close where Ward did "just" enough to win them. Abraham even had success when he remembered he had a left hand that could be used to jab.

If the Ward-GGG fight was made I think Vegas would star something like -100/+60
