it was a questionable win over Froch as well , can you believe certain people actually scored Kessler winning the rematch as well ? No disrespect , but Kessler does not belong in the hall of fame
I have already explained how that's bull ****. Kessler picked up the WBA after Calzaghe retired and was the ring and boxrec #1 and defending CHAMPION going into his fight against Ward. Carl Froch is currently the ring magazine and boxrec number one rated fighter and unified CHAMPION due to Andre Ward's inactivity. So both guys have been champions and both guys have at some point or another been regarded the #1 as SMW.
Also this is the boxing hall of FAME so yes a fighters popularity and how they brought fans into the sport is a factor.
Mostly British fans claim that Kessler deserves a place, so it will be easier for them to claim that Froch deserves this place one day as well. Hell, no, both of them are not even near HoF material.
Nope... He lost too many big fights... We have to have standards as to who gets in and who don't... Good fighter though
He belongs in the hof and he will get his place and all of you *****s kn here moaning who have never boxed youselves will just have to deal with it. Just like when Stallone rightfully got his place in the non boxers category after getting millions including myself into boxing with his Contender series and millons before that with his Rocky films. Any career pro deserves a great deal of respect but career pro's like Froch and Kessler who reach the top deserve that bit extra and thankfully the IBHoF realises that. Imagine going to the place if half of you lot picked it. It would only include profiles about 30 fighters we already know everything about. Nope Kessler deserves his place for what he did in and for the sport, just like Naz did and just like Gatti did and anyone who doesn't agree is a little ***** who's never boxed.
As always is comes down to the hall itself. We all have our own personal preferences and what we think the Boxing Hall of Fame should be, but with the way the Hall of Fame is constructed now Kessler is, or should be, a shoe in. If the standards were higher then no he wouldn't be, in my opinion. And there would be no shame in that because probably about 70% of the fighters in the Hall of Fame now shouldn't actually be in the Hall of Fame.
