Mitchell would demolish Burns on that performance

Estrada was very similar to Prescott in terms of stance, lack of movement and chronic lack of punch variation, so Kevin could settle knowing what was coming. He was then able to sit down on punches and when he gets on the front foot he begans to show his class. I would throw him in there with Abril. Another tall figher.

As for Burns, he immediately gets Kevin on the back foot with his volume and range and general aggressiveness and once Kev goes into his shell he finds it hard to come out of it, and his defence is just as porous when he backs up, so someone like Burns keeps on finding success.

Still don't see Mitchell beating Burns, not that it will happen while there both training under Sims.

Top performance from him last night, he was putting his shots together, getting low then springing up... he looked the part.

That Kevin Mitchell would beat Crolla in my opinion, however if he's not switched on then Crolla is more than capable of beating him also.

The fight with Burns was on the back of a very good Mitchell win against John Murray and look what happened. :bbb

Don't think Ricky will recapture his peak form but when it mattered Ricky done the business. :deal

People aren't hating on Burns just simply pointing out at this time Mitchell is clearly the better fighter. I don't think anyone dislikes Burns, he's a genuinely nice fella but he has got significantly worse in recent times and they are just being realistic in that we have seen the best of him

The same posters who are slagging off Burns now were doing so when he was winning fights it's simply to get a reaction from Billy and it's getting boring to read.

That guy last night, had absolutely no clue whatsoever how to make his reach advantage count.
I think Burns length and quickness still beats Mitchell, so Id favour Burns, but its much closer now as Mitchell has progressed and Burns regressed. It would be a very close fight now IMO.

One thing is absolutely certain, keep Mitchell the phuck away from Crawford or he'd get battered.

Crawford beats anyone in the lightweight or even light welterweight divisions in my opinion and he is stepping up so he wont have to fight him at any point now

Burns would dominate Mitchell, he did in their fight, and by all accounts did in sparring, and still would if they fought again.

Crawford would stop Mitchell, something he couldn't do against Burns. And why anybody would bite to that imbecile sol**** is beyond me, the cretin has no credibility and should be banned from polluting this site with his garbage.

Im not that well up on these two. But FWIW IMO the current version of Mitchell beats the current version of Burns - probably easily.

I've never rated Burns. As soon as he fought decent opposition he got found out.

Beltran beat him, The Black guy was whopping him, Crawford made him look like an amateur.

When the fcuk did a successful career in boxing boil down to pure technical ability ?

Andy Murray has all the physical and technical attributes of any great tennis player, but he lost the Aussie open this morning whilst leading, WHY ? because technical ability and physical strength count for fcukall if you don't have the mental toughness and a winners mindset. If Murray had a Froch mentality he'd have added Major number 3 to his tally, and the same applies in a boxing ring.

Mitchell has a bully mentallity and feeds on confidence, when things don't go his way he crumbles mentally. Against Burns his ego made him try to man it out instead of boxing

Burns is Kevins Kryptonite, and he'd scorch him any day of the week.

Maybe you should try to educate Froch about his shortcomings ?
