He's not the man at MW or even number 2. But he's a solid top 5 MW contender. He's undefeated and a win against him is a very good name in your resume.
he won a belt and avoided top opponents whatever he was a contender for, it wasn't being the legit MW champ
I dont think anyone sees Kid Yellowbelly as a big name anymore aside from a few deluded cuban-americans
he's not a big name, what he is, is the only American MW in the top 10. His shooting star is rapidly crashing to Earth though
Very disappointed with how Quillins career has panned out. Looks like he's gonna end up fighting Lee for the belt he vacated and get paid less than he would have done for defending against Korobov
It's this. It seems like he's a big name considering he's been a top 5 MW for a little while now but that speaks more to the rapidly-approaching-deplorable state of the division than anything.
I have seen in person: Oscar de la Hoya, Bernard Hopkins, Roy Jones, Virgil Hill, Vassiliy Jirov, Thomas Hearns, Marvin Hagler, Floyd Mayweather, Manny Pacquiao and many other champions and contenders and I would rank Quillin at near the top of that list of talented boxers. He isn't marketed and exposed as his talent level rates.
