    Maybe I'm just a complete fool about these things, but doesn't Floyd going on vacation right now make the Manny fight more likely? I mean, he's fighting May 2nd, for sure, and doesn't have an opponent lined up, as far as anyone knows. So, if he's fighting someone other than Manny, he needs to do a lot of things to sell the fight, going on tours and whatnot, correct? Why would he be doing jack all right now in the Caribbean if, one, he is "his own boss" and, two, needs a fight ready to go pronto of it's going to be properly promoted within the next couple of months? I would think he would know that things need to get going, unless he already has something in mind, especially a fight that doesn't need much selling by him.

    Or not. I could just be a little foolish on this one.

    I think it's because he has a private multimillion dollar jet, and he felt like going to Jamaica to chill. Dude was back for the Superbowl in time.


    Wouldn't we be doing the same if we could, lol

    I think it's probably all done but crossing the t's and dotting the i's. I think both sides are now playing up the "still a lot of work to do" angle to keep fans guessing.

    By the time the post Super Bowl media frenzy runs its course, there won't be a lot of sporting news in the US, so I think they're just being coy.

    Floyd shot down rumors of any announcement over this weekend and stated that there were still "issues to be resolved" but i hoped we'd get an announcement as well. I think they still come to an agreement by middle of the week.
