Muscle weighs a lot more than fat though, plus the fact bone density has a massive impact on weight. I've seen guys who look 190 but only weigh 165, all because they have really low bone density, works the opposite way aswell.
Provodnikov is deceptively light. He looks huge for the weight, like he has the head and upper body of a SMW.
If Matthysse doesn't box he gets knocked out. I think hes gonna get drawn into a brawl at some point and get KOd
Matthysse has just as much power and just as good a chin as Provo...he can go to war and win... He won't though...he'll rely on his boxing and put on a beatdown.
Hope this fight gets made. Would be the perfect fight to have as the co feature to may pac. An all out war to get everyone hyped up
Matthyse is bigger. I got Matthyse by 7rd ko. If not sooner, Matthyse has put down and put out the better competition. He's also faced much bigger men. Molina and Garcia looked much bigger then him . So did ortiz. Alexander has a great chin so far Matthyse the only one to Crack it. He's put down almost every fighters he's faced. Alexander has a comparable chin to Herrera if not better. Include a longer reach better Punch delivery and provos tender skin. This could be a great one sided fight.
No one had stood in front of Provo though. Probably for good reason. If Matthysse stands in front of him, Provo could blow a hole in him.
All this talk of "if Matthyse doesn't move he's hamburger!". Provo eating punches like an incompetent re**** is seemingly seen as the equivalent of durability. He's been affected if not visibly hurt by body shots by 4 or 5 separate fighters, many who are feather fisted (Herrera, Alvarado, Bradley, Jauregui, even 450 year old Castillo) His competition at the time he's actually faced them has been dire. The versions of Castillo and Augustus he fought were shamefully shot and shouldn't have been fighting. Not putting on anywhere near as impressive a performance against a approaching 40 year old Corley as a half dozen other fighters did earlier than him. Matthyse on the flip side has been in there with FAR greater opposition. His win over Soto alone is more impressive than anything Provo has "almost" done. Get the **** outta here.
You can't deny he can punch though, gave Bradley brain-damage, messed up Herrera's face, Algieri's eye was disgusting, made Alvarado quit. And these were all guys who ran from him for the most of the fight. I'm a Matthysse fan, I want him to win, but I'll admit I'm worried.
No one still has anything on Matthysse/Ortiz and Provodnikov/Castillo fight night weights? Damn, oh well.
