You are so full of **** man.
    They are both solid victories.
Also, by your "theory" cotto was drained cause he went to the 154 division right after.
    Pacturds are so ****ing dumb.

This was a quality fight.... I buzzed watching this & have watched a few times since....still Good :good

Miguel also landed some good hooks when manny was up against the ropes & fair play to him he took them full on !!!!

Nobody has ever doubted manny's chin he is tough but I credit his toughness in them years to his leg strength he had legs like a racehorse & it was prob down to ariza's strength & conditioning at that time ....strong legs are what keeps you up when hurt
(trust me I am a marathon runner)

Look at Khan V Maidana under ariza's conditioning his legs kept him strong in the 10th when he was hurt & wobbled
however when he left ariza he struggled with endurance

another case we could look at is Mayweather V Maidana 1
Maidana had strong conditioning & stamina in the first fight
under ariza's training but when departed from him a lack off energy in the rematch ???
yes we could put it down to Floyd's evasive footwork & defence
however good strength & conditioning is vital in todays sports !

    Just a Theory :good

I agree with you on the roids even stevie wonder could see manny was juicing in that period however roids or no roids
I rate ariza as a coach & the conditioning in the legs as vitally important :deal:good

Yeah I totally agree actually

I remember when robert garcia fire ariza for the Mayweather rematch I knew Maidana would look worse.

What a dumbass move by garcia.

he replaced Ariza's expertise with his son

credit to manny he took a few big shots from Miguel well & 145
but lets also give credit to Floyd as he took Miguel's shots at 154
didn't buckle & fired right back at him :good

Lets give credit where credit is due to toughness under pressure

Floyd took 3 massive right hooks from Mosley was buckled bad in the 2nd round all within a 30 second period then balanced him self & fired back whilst hurt to win the end of the round which proves my point of conditioning in the legs :deal:good:good:good

Manny's endurance was outstanding that period 'elite fitness'
look at his performance against clottey his output & stamina was unreal however a few years later he was blowing out his hoop throwing three punch combos against Bradley
stamina seems an issue with manny now .....leave aside the ped allegations conditioning was the key back the and I credit it to ariza's training

Cotto weighed in at 145 against Pac

154 against Mayweather....that's above a full weight class.

    They fought 2 different fighters.

Cotto landed a few heavy shots in that fight and Manny just smiled and I thought that was strange. This former fly weight taking flush shots from a heavy punching welterweight.

This was the height of the Ariza shakes.

Great post, as good as the fight was, I believe there's a great chance we missed out on a great fight. And I don't believe it to because of weight draining, PED's etc...only because of what is stated here, a colossal error in strategy by team Cotto. Though, as alex is trying to say, the weight cannot be called a no factor. It's easy for anyone to see that an extra two pounds would've benefitted Cotto, you may not be able to say weight draining but, weight being a no factor cannot be said either.
