Right he seems to believe he was know ..Most King fighters are always tied to him in some form ..

 

I don't care about Roy going to Germany. The fact is Roy never fought THE champion in 3 of the 4 main divisions he fought in. That is very telling. It wasn't just DM he wasn't going to fight ANYONE that was a big threat that is just how his mind worked. He was going to take the easiest path to get what he wanted which was trinket belts. He liked to collect them. He thought they were important but in reality they were not. That is on Jones and his fans that defend him. I am not a Jones fan. I don't care that he didn't go to Germany or the UK or wherever. Doesn't bother me. That is for people like you to deal with.

Compare that to Marvin Hagler who went over to the UK to win THE Middleweight Championship in a very hostile environment. That is what separates fighters like Hagler from Jones. That is what champions do.

HBO begged Jones to quit fooling with the trinket belts and make the fights and he wouldn't so they no longer gave out guaranteed contracts. Roy ruined it for everyone after him. If I was an HBO fighter today I would find Roy and smash him in his Glass Jaw for being so selfish and screwing it up for everyone else. Roy gamed the system and ruined it for all the fighters after him.

Stuff like that is why I can't take Jones seriously and why I laugh at all the excuses as to why he didn't fight ANY of his contemporaries through 4 damn Divisions sans James Toney (a very good credible win for Jones)

His resume is Hopkins, Toney, then..........errrrrrr.....uh........Ruiz? :roflatsch

The guy went from 1998 until 2003 fighting a bunch of dreadful fights that HBO was apologizing for. Name me one other fighter from that era that HBO was apologizing for putting on awful fights.

It wasn't. It was on terrestrial TV which cost the British public less than 200 dollars per year at that time, in what the government in all its wisdom calls a licence fee.

I guarantee you if Tyson had not paid Lewis step aside money and fought him at the time instead of Holy one million Brits would NOT have paid £25 , $ 50 a pop to have watched it.

With that in mind, why do you think Roy mentioned possibly going to Cardiff to face Calzage at SMW, when he was LHW champ? I know thats not Germany, but sure you can see the similarities.
What about Wlad travelling abroad to contest against the WBO HW champ? What about Pacquiao travelling abroad to face the WBO WW champ? I believe many had Pac at that time as the top man

 

I have no interest in the opinions of Jones apologists like you. I'd much rather take note of the people involved like DM ( who is NOT a proven steroid cheat, and therefore much more likely to be truthful than Jones. ) and his people, and the fact there WAS a court order. Court orders are far more reliable than pathetic little fanboys and their half baked theories.
