I've never took to him. Anyone with an ounce of sense can see that Ed is a snide.

When he took swipes at Khan you could see he was all wrong.

Just look at that smug face - pure snide. He peers over his fighters at their post-fight interview like a dodgy headmaster.

The man is a creep, simple. And if he was anymore up Froch's ar*e he'd be a dangle berry.

 

A promoter having a pop at a fighter for getting KO'd is pretty pathetic and unprofessional. Plus some of Hearns antics don't do him or his business any favours, three big fights he clearly wants to make sooner or later are Groves/Degale, Brook/Khan and Fury/Joshua yet his childish twitter wars and various comments have clearly annoyed Groves, Khan and Fury and probably put them off having anything to do with him. And Hearn is deluded if he's working on the 'they need me more than I need them' assumption.

Yeah I don't think his shenanigans help at all, there's far better tactics to get what he wants his media persona probably does him a bit of harm

 

The thing is you didn't see that Groves went after him so he responded. Its just banter anyway so if you take that seriously then you are the melt! You are in the British boxing forum but you slate the man who has revolutionised the game in the UK, that is indisputable, and you all know if it wasn't for him all you would see was some very shoddy boxing shows courtesy of FW on a show which no one bothers subscribing to. As for him slating boxers like Khan and Fury, no he doesn't, all he says is that his fighter beats them. What's wrong with that? Nothing. Its his job to hype a fighter and he gets slated for doing his job? He is entitled to his opinion, whether that may be considered wrong it doesn't matter because it is what he believes. As for him being up Frochs ****, I honestly didn't realise just because he was a promoter, that he wasn't allowed any friends? He is mates with Froch as well as representing him so what is wrong with him defending his mate? Again NOTHING!

Seems a decent enough bloke to me.

There are obviously reasons to be critical of him, but having a (pretty funny) pop at George Groves on ****ing Twitter isn't one of them

Doesn't do his business any favours? Have to disagree there. Look at what the 'childish twitter wars' have caused.... interest and speculation which equals ticket sales and ppv buys.

He is a snide absolutely as well as anything else anyone wants to call him probably. But don't be fooled into thinking he doesn't know what he's doing. He's a smart man and loves a pound note as he says....

If/when these fights get made he will rake it in and be back at the office within hours pulling his wire with the right hand and counting the notes with the left
