Looks interesting, hope I can wake up for it.

I'm debating myself between waking up and staying up. 2am-5am EST is just so awkwardly timed. I can either go to bed wicked early (probably 10pm at the most) and set my alarm for 1:45 , getting less than four hours and stay up for the whole thing - or I can set my alarm for 3:45, fall asleep by midnight to get roughly the same amount of sleep or more if earlier, and catch just the main event, which is all I care about. But that requires operating under the assumption that it will start two hours into the scheduled broadcast time, which I just don't know.

I find Thai boxing so aggravating for this reason. (and for the seedy underlying cause for them holding cards midday local time instead of at night like most of the rest of the world: the sweltering Thai afternoon heat is usually a massive built-in disadvantage to non-natives, Hernandez vs. Porpramook I being a famous example of this but there are countless more...)

I knew that Knockout was small but Wanheng is called "Thai Dwarf Giant", so I figured he'd be among the smallest in the division, at least in the country. If he's really as close in height to Galero as those weigh-in pics make out (and not just an optical illusion), with Knockout being much shorter than Galero, there would have to be a good few inches between them and Knockout might even be smaller than Zhong at 4-11ish - borderline actual midget stature.

Worth noting that Thai shows are notorious for weird scheduling...this could be the main event following a single 6 rounder, it could open the show...or it could be part way through...

I guess that's fair, yeah. A typical 9pm or 10pm EST start here means 2am or 3am GMT.

Still, we are consistent with the rest of the world at least, having our shows at night and on the latish side.

You'd have to get up the exact same time for a card in Mexico, Argentina, Canada etc.

Thailand is located in a part of the world that slots them in between Australia's timezone and Japan's, so you'd think it would fall in line that you have to wake up later than you do for Australian boxing and earlier than for Japanese - but no, Thais have to have it be all over the place, sometimes having main events at like noon.

Yep, annoyingly I still prefer a 2am or 3am card since I'm a bit of an insomniac than to say 8am card which is the case here.

Yeah, I edited as you quoted - I think everybody the world over is annoyed by Thai boxing's inconsistency and refusal to adhere to global norms of having main event ring walks sometime between roughly 10pm and midnight local time. :yep

I haven't listened to Celtic Frost in like 15 years, I'm gonna have to dust off some of my old cassettes (yes cassettes). I used to be into Black Metal big time in the late 90's it grew out of my love for Florida Death Metal.:D I was friends with a lot of aspiring teen Death Metals bands that went nowhere, I actually played guitar for one of them for a second and auditioned to sing for another.:nut

Moonspell, Tiamat, Samael, Carcass, Obituary, Opeth, Meshuggah, Dark Tranquility loved them all, but I grew out of it a little, but lately I've been sucked back in a little. The Satanism turns me off though, as most religions do.
