Eddie Hearn is a melt

A friend of mine gets cheap tickets for Hearn shows - we got tickets for Joshua vs Bahktov for £2.50 a pop - and have to say a lot of them have been somewhat half empty budget affairs. The idea that he's brought glitz and glamour back to the UK fight game is an utter fantasy.

 

I certainly think he beats him. I also think that in this country,so does George,though maybe not in the US. AND if Andre is anywhere near the boxer who boxed on even terms with Froch in his backyard and boxed Abrahams ears off,he beats George anywhere and with James its as near as dammit to a 50 50 fight wherever.

 

There is a need to get live domestic boxing back on the TV on a weekly basis.

The Hearn deal has deteriorated the quantity and quality of boxing on Sky.

Boxnation has failed to deliver on the domestic front. The result is that we are left with 1-2 shows per month with mainly one sided can fests.

About time Sky had talks with all boxing promoters including Fish to sort out differences and get weekly boxing back on Sky.

A new multi promoter deal on Sky with some boxing on terrestrial TV is the only way to raise the profile of the sport.

Joshua vs Bakhtov main event, yea of course it wasn't full, that wouldn't sell out any decent sized arena, he sold out 80,000 would anyone else have done that? NO, fact

 

No he never! I was there and there was TONS of spare seats going. Like thousands!!!!

 

Eddie is smug as **** but sky boxing used to show some dross.... WBU, WBF, ibo **** every week....it's definitely better now. Could be improved though.

 

Anthony Joshua should be on ITV or Channel 5 (who are owned by BSkyB). Putting him on Sky Sports or on PPV undercards means limited exposure.

Still, I understand certain TV deals have to be honoured.

No there wasn't! I was there too and the only seats left were the ones at the top that weren't made available because of their limited viewing. So don't make up **** to try and make a point you ****ing idiot

 

Yeah he sent it to the 02, nobody gets everything right and no the of course 80,000 wasn't down to Eddie. Froch vs Groves wouldn't have done that amount without his promotion and his vehicle behind it and you all know that, but you just don't want to admit it

"I haven't lost a round in my last 2 fights!". Yes, against the mighty Rebrasse and Douglin. Before that you were knocked out twice, once leaving you in a crunched up bone heap. It would have been twice if Howard Foster hadn't saved you.

I would say DeGale will would destroy Groves when they fight, but Groves doesn't get past Anthony Dirrel, who isn't even in the top 5 of the division.

And for the record, anyone who uses the expression "melt", doesn't leave much room for insulting other people. Fairy.

 

Exactly. I don't know what peoples problem with Hearn is. He's not someone I would go for a pint with, but on the other hand I'm not a total idiot and I understand what being a promoter involves! As you say, Groves went after him, and frankly he is completely ddeluded with his comments and I don't think he ever wins a legitimate belt. As for Khan and Fury, insulting tthem on twitter is just not on, when have they ever said anything out of turn?

There's some total chumps on here (Brixton Bomber and TERRYTIBBS), I would love to hear some ideas and alternatives from them rather than there girlish *****ing which everyone has come to expect.
