I don't think its necessarily a race thing.

Movers are boring in most peoples opinion and thats why they need to have something else like an interest persona to be marketable.

A black fighter thats a KO artist will get buzz whether hes humble or not. Look at Thurman

The difference between Hopkins and Floyd is that Hopkins would have fought Margarito.

    Floyd chose Baldomir.

    Floyd is a ***** boy.

You gents are judging a book by it's cover in relation to Mayweather and that's very immature. Nobody is looking at him in a real light. Your comments are clouded and fueled by jealousy and hate. He is a self made man and no dummy by a long shot. He will never be broke no matter how much you gents wish it.

Yeah, surely RJJ, the unquestioned #1 P4P fighter in the world at the time, 'ducked' BHop by not moving down in weight and giving even money to a guy he already dominated and who still wasn't very marketable.

Yeah, I got it now. :-(

Hopkins is a racist. Floyd is not. Floyd is a proud black man but I don't think I even heard Money talk about race.

Plus Floyd is undefeated, with a higher profile victory over De La Hoya.

Losses on your record do NOT improve your resume, just like the working class, resumes are for career accomplishments, not failed attempts.

any working man on this site that would add a job to your resume that you got canned for being incompetent ?

ROFLMAO Yeah you got it alright BHop wasn't marketable but the part time fighters like School teachers cops, postmen & even a garage collector were legitimate opponents in your eyes huh????? Get real buddy
Look EVERYONE sympathized with Roy Jones jr when he was blatantly robbed in Seoul Korea but he did better out of losing than he would have winning the gold medal. It gave him the excuse of never fighting away from home or I'll get robbed line
He made his career on that

Standing up & fighting but losing to a better fighter does not mean you are incompetent. BUT Blatantly ducking those people in case they beat you does. All the truly great champions & ATG's have losses on their resumes but to have an 0 you know in your heart is BOGUS means you will NEVER be regarded as ATG Sorry Floyd

man listen... if floyd did what hopkins did people was say he was even more over rated

beat a tito trinidad, ODLH, and Kelly pavlik that were too small
lost to Jermain taylor x2 and calzaghe
lost to roy and then went on to beat him when he was over the hill
    lost to chad johnson
fought a still green jean pascal and had a tie and and w
stole a belt from shumenov who only had 14 fights lol...

i could go on and on... hopkins is def a great but what he did is whatever.... Floyd has fought more dangerous opposition in his last 6 fights than hopkins in his last 15

edit: hopkins best win is antonio tarver probably.

ok, but its just as easy to taint anyone's wins too.

Saul Alvarez catch weight at 152 where he was drained
Juan Manuel Marquez catch weight from 135 to 144, where May missed weight
    Diego Corrales premature stoppage
Zab Judah came off a lost to Baldomir, plus he had Tszyu problems
Oscar De La Hoya was old ending in SD
Hatton fought at 140 before jumping to welterweight
Maidana had Khan problems, was schooled by an old one eyed Morales and Devon Alexander schooled him way worst at 147
Ortiz was a heartless kid who had Maidana problems and came from a life and death match versus berto
Robert Guerrero who? the fighting pride of Gilroy, CA?

    Good point.

Floyd won't have a pot to pee in. He'll have to come back and finally fight Pacquiao in 2030.
